The K-pop survival show Boys Planet attracted millions of viewers worldwide who voted for the candidates. Fans were curious about the future of the contestants who didn’t make it to the final band. Perhaps no group better exemplifies the potential of K-pop’s next generation than EVNNE, a seven-member boy band. Indeed, “rapidly rising through the ranks, the group is proving they are far more than just a basic spin-off act.”

EVNNE, known for their strong group chemistry, burst onto the scene with the powerful tracks “Trouble” and “Ugly.” These songs reflected their underdog status, as they challenged conventions and sought to prove themselves to the world. The group won honors and had number-one hits on Korea’s competitive music programs. This summer, EVNNE embarked on its inaugural U.S. tour. They aimed to expand their international fanbase and showcase their high-energy performances in various locations.

But more than honors and recognitions go into defining EVNNE’s success. Beyond “this, EVNNE’s musical style has undergone a dramatic transformation in less than a year.  They shifted from the rebellious songs of their debut to a softer, more romantic sound with their June release, “RIDE or DIE.” The group is entering a new phase with their lead single, “Badder Love.” They recorded this mellow rock-pop song in both Korean and English.

Despite their relatively short time together, the group has managed to establish a unique identity within the industry. Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Ji Yunseo, Yoo Seungeon, Mun Junghyun, and Park Jihoo have demonstrated their enduring potential. EVNNE is a seven-member boy group from JellyFish Entertainment. The group consists of Mun Junghyun, Ji Yunseo, Keita, Lee Jeonghyeon, Park Hanbin, Yoo Seungeon, and Park Jihoo. They marked their debut with Target: Me EP on September 19, 2023.

MUN JUNGHYUN
Junghyun, the all-rounder of EVNNE, is a visual powerhouse with an ENFJ personality. He loves the song “Pretty Thing” and is a fan of BOL4’s “To My Youth.” His favorite movie is Weathering with You. He also lives by the mantra, “Don’t let others control you; What I am doing is the answer, so don’t hold what others say too seriously.”

JI YUNSEO
YUNSEO, the talented vocalist, dancer, and lyricist, is known for being teased by his members. He identifies as an INFJ and loves both “Even More” and “Festa” by EVNNE. His favorite songs are G-Dragon’s “Untitled, 2014” and Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.” He enjoys watching Peter Pan and Marvel movies and lives by the mantra, “Greet others well, do not lie, love myself more.”

KEITA
People recognize Keita, the sleepyhead of EVNNE, for his charismatic leadership. He is an ISTP who loves the song “Role Model.” His favorite song is Lany’s “dna,” and his favorite movie is Howl’s Moving Castle. He lives by the mantra, “Steadiness is the key.”



LEE JEONGHYEON
Jeonghyeon, the clumsy member of EVNNE, is often called “Babo” by fans. He is an ISTJ who loves the song “TROUBLE.” His favorite song is Penomeco’s “Hotel Lobby,” and his favorite movie is October Sky. He lives by the mantra, “Those who work hard will be rewarded.”

PARK HANBIN
Hanbin, the balance controller of EVNNE, is often called “Cat” by fans. He is an ESTP who loves the song “TROUBLE.” His favorite song is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile,” and his favorite movie is About Time. Hanbin follows the mantra, “Luck comes to those who are prepared.”

YOO SEUNGEON
People recognize Seungeon, the main vocal and bright energy of EVNNE, as the “visual main vocal.” He is an ENTJ who loves the song “TROUBLE.” His favorite song is NCT DOYOUNG’s entire YOUTH – The 1st Album! and his favorite movie is A Star Is Born. He lives by the mantra, “There are too many things to consider regretting about the past and worry about the future. Just live your day to the fullest.”

PARK JIHOO
Jihoo, the choreography master of EVNNE, is often called “Potato” by fans. He is an ISTJ who loves the song “Role Model.” His favorite song is HYUKOH’s “Gondry,” and his favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He lives by the quote, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…it’s about learning to dance in the rain,” by Vivian Greene.

Regarding EVNNE’s debut U.S. tour, Mun Junghyun says, “We were able to sing the English version of ‘Badder Love’ for the first time. Furthermore, “I think the response was good because the fans sang along to the whole song which made us really happy.”

“I’m overjoyed to be able to visit the U.S. after the Asia tour. I am incredibly eager to interact with individuals from many backgrounds,” SEUNGEON remarks. “We sincerely feel that the love and support of our fans. Which has allowed us to win on music shows and embark on international tours.”

Jihoo stated, “From what I understand, this tour is attended by roughly 500 people per venue.” But from what we felt on stage, it really felt like the cheer was coming from 5,000 or even 50,000 people.” However, “I think we got even more energy and motivation from the audience. But we felt like we were really eager to share our energy with them.”
