EPEX is bidding a tender farewell to their youth and ushering in a new start with their latest album, Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH.
EPEX has finally concluded their youth series with their 3rd full-length album, Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH.
Released on July 28, the latest release serves as an emotional culmination of the group’s growth since the trilogy began in 2024. It’s also a raw depiction of one’s youth — the excitement that comes at the thought of growing up, the overwhelming pressure for the future, and the eventual relief as we face them head-on.
MU, EPEX’s lead vocalist, shares how he worked on the album with extra affection because it was the last chapter. He delves deeper into their trilogy’s meaning: “In the first two chapters of the trilogy, we discussed the reality, various concerns, and the deficiency of youth. In the final album of the series, we’re fully accepting all those elements and stepping forward to the next chapter.”
The album trilogy is EPEX’s way of comforting their listeners while they go through life and traverse diverse paths. Whether it’s discovering our first love or acknowledging our shortcomings, they wish for these experiences to be seen with fondness and acceptance as we move boldly into the future.
Youth Chapter 3: ROMANTIC YOUTH features eight diverse tracks and a revamped look of their logo for the album cover. Each song carries its respective charms, complementing EPEX’s distinct style and the trilogy’s themes. In addition, their pre-release single “Picasso” is also included in the tracklist, which dropped along with a music video last July 21.

“눈물나게 고마워 (Grateful to Tears)” is the official title track of the album, an emotional pop song with hints of rock and acoustic elements.
While it evokes a bittersweet feeling upon listening, the song ultimately carries a comforting vibe. This is further highlighted by the members’ soothing vocals and the song’s heart-stirring lyrics about acceptance and saying goodbye with grace.

EPEX in Concert
Not far behind their album release, EPEX is warming up for their third solo fan concert “ROMANTIC YOUTH” on August 23 and 24 at KBS Arena in Seoul. Furthermore, fans in Japan will also get to experience the concert in Tokyo on August 26 at Zepp DiverCity. These exciting events will definitely be a memorable treat for ZENITHs.
