cignature is back with their 5th EP, Sweetie but Saltie, after nine months.
With the release of their fifth EP, Sweetie but Saltie, Cignature returns nine months after the release of Us in the Summer. They hope to share tales of the joy of falling in love with signfans (Cignature’s fandom name) through this EP.
“풍덩 (Poongdung),” our new title track, symbolizes the youthful yet developing love of summer. Upon hearing the song, I enjoyed it and eagerly awaited sharing it with everyone. We appreciate all the supporters who have been waiting for us and we can’t wait to deliver a fantastic show. “Smooth Sailing,” which was released last summer, talked about a girl who is excited for her first love or crush.
The new title track narrates a mature girl passionately falling in love, with a splash or poongdung. We hope to showcase a mature, improved version of cignature with this song, so please keep your eyes on our activities!” said Chaesol, member of the group.

Sweetie but Saltie includes four new songs. The title track “풍덩 (Poongdung),” captures summer vibes, expressing honest feelings of fearlessly falling in love. “I like I like” has two versions on this album, each providing a different experience for listeners. “I like I like” tells a desperately seeking affirmation of reciprocated love, despite its already obvious to others. The Korean version highlights innocent, first-love cuteness. The English version conveys casual conversational sharing with friends, adapting lyrics but retaining essence.
The final track on the EP, “Melody,” conveys the group’s raw sentiments about their journey’s past, present, future The lyrics capture the group’s heartfelt reflections and resolutions regarding their music.
“We prepared another summer album just like last year. However, unlike Us in the Summer’s feel-good vibe, “풍덩 (Poongdung)” brings refreshing, a sparkling vibe like a carbonated soda. Although other songs were considered, we carefully deliberated before finalizing “풍덩 (Poongdung),” making me cherish it more!”

About Cignature
Cignature is a seven-member K-pop girl group that debuted on February 4, 2020 under C9 Entertainment. The seven members are JEEWON, SEMI, CHAESOL, BELLE, SELINE, CHLOE, and DOHEE.
