Catch The Young turns back the clock with their rendition of the hit song “You, Always.”

South Korean alternative pop-rock band Catch The Young drops their version of the 90s hit song “You Always” by Mono. They added their own spin and vibe to the original song with additional knowledge of songwriting and arranging.

The band’s version pays respect for the original song and their skills in musicality. The band caught fans in shock by pre-performing the song at their concert, Loud And Proud, at Rolling Hall in Seoul, Korea, last January 17. They also released a teaser on their official social media accounts last January 21st. The teaser shows the members playing together with a cheerful energy in a dreamy background.

Sani, the bassist and leader of the band, shares his thoughts:

“‘You, Always’ is a hit track by Mono, released in 1993. We thought this song would be perfect for Catch The Young as we have the goal to play music that can resonate with all generations. In addition, we wanted to work on a song that all listeners, ranging from K-pop fans of the 21st century to people who love the nostalgic music of the 90s, can enjoy together.”

Namhyun, the main vocalist, also shares his feelings on their rendition of the classic:

“I was excited and happy throughout the whole process of working on “You, Always (2025)” because the original version was very widely loved. I hope you’ll find more charms of Catch The Young through this single, and we look forward to showing great live performances of this song.”

“You, Always” other details

The original version of “You, Always” from the 90s has synthesizers and the New Wave genre; the band’s version is a new style colliding over the past and the present. All members of the band are involved in creating their signature sound with their youthful vibe while maintaining the sentiments of the original version. Park Jung-won, the composer of the original “You, Always,” hopes for Catch The Young to step up and show the band’s talent more to the public through the release of their version.
