HYBE Corporation recently announced V’s album last August 8 with a short video teaser posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

As BTS’ chapter 2 unfolds, each member promised ARMYs (fandom name for BTS fans) that their solo music will be inspired by a side they haven’t shown throughout their decade-long career.

V laid out his inspiration behind the album title in an interview with Rolling Stones. The 27-year-old K-pop idol shared that the album portrayed his feelings about his music, which is interrelated with his chosen life path.

“Instead of taking a direct route, you could stop somewhere and stay for a while, or take a transfer, or do a layover,” V says. “I just felt that my life, wherever it’s headed, would not follow a direct path,” he added.

V’s album has six tracks: “Rainy Days,” “Blue,” “Love Me Again,” “For Us,” and “Slow Dancing,” which has a bonus “Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)”. All of the said songs will have their own music videos.

The album’s theme and musicality is more of a ballad, romance, and jazz, of which the K-Pop idol resonates with his personality. Classical piano and saxophone instruments will be heard through his songs, such as “Slow Dancing“.

Following the group’s hiatus in compliance with their South Korean military services, those who were left of the Bangtan Boys before their enlistments were set to focus on their solo works, including solo tours, singles, and albums.

Further announcements for V’s solo projects are to be announced.

Surely, V’s vocals—raspy and dreamy voice will serenade you into a chill, jazzy, and laid over type of dance.
