BTS’ J-Hope announces the release of his sophomore album, “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” and ARMYs are more than excited!

Jung Hoseok, more popularly known as J-Hope, of K-pop global sensation BTS, revealed one of the many surprises for their ARMYs (BTS’ fans) with the release of his second discography, “Hope on the Street Vol. 1”.

In celebration of Jhope’s 30th birthday, BTS posted on X the announcement of his upcoming special album. Hope on the Street Vol. 1 includes six tracks that will be available for streaming on Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m. KST.

Pick Your Version

The album will be available in three unique versions and concepts. Embracing a street-style hip concept, the album truly leans on the artistry of dance with a cool vibe.

Prelude Ver. 1

The first concept is the “Prelude Ver. 1” in vibrant orange typography. It includes the prologue, Chapter 1: Origin, and Chapter 2: Soul. The first version was also specifically shot in Gwangju and Seoul, Korea. 

Interlude Ver. 2

The second concept, “Interlude Ver. 2,” is presented in light blue typography. The album contains Chapter 3: PlaygroundChapter 4: MotivationChapter 5: Art, and Epilogue: Just Raw and Real.

 

Weverse Version

Now introducing a CD-less version is the Weverse Version. The album includes a book zine, book band, lyric book, postcard, sticker, user guide, and the CD alternative—a QR code. This version costs less than the other versions, Prelude Ver. 1 and Interlude Ver. 2. 

The album’s pre-order starts on February 19, Monday.

Moreover, the announcement of Jhope’s new discography is just one of the many surprises laid out. A documentary series, “Hope on the Street,” about his love for dance and music will soon be available on Prime Video for global streaming and TVING for local Korean viewing on Thursday, March 28. 

“Hope on the Street Vol. 1” is Jhope’s second solo album following his successful debut in “Jack in the Box” (2022). The K-idol has been rendering his 18-month mandatory military service since April 2023.
