BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and renowned soloist Zayn Malik have released a collaboration single entitled “Eyes Closed” on October 10 via Warner Records. This emotional anthem brings together the soulful voices of members from two of this generation’s most beloved music acts, BLACKPINK and One Direction.
“Eyes Closed” caught many fans off guard as it came in the middle of BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour, which began in July. Likewise, Zayn has also recently announced a new Netflix road trip series with ex-bandmate Louis Tomlinson while preparing for his Las Vegas residency in January 2026.
On the days leading up to the release, Jisoo shared teasers of the collaboration by uploading photos of herself in a black dress, with a mysterious silhouette visible in the background. Her following post then featured the single’s cover art, revealing Zayn as the track’s other half. With the confirmation of the joint project, fans of both artists immediately responded with enthusiasm, eager to hear their voices in harmony.
