Apple TV+ has officially announced an exciting new documentary series titled K-Pop Idols, set to feature the sensational acts CRAVITY, JESSI, and BLACKSWAN.
Revealed on July 26, the documentary series, K-Pop Idols, promises to take viewers behind the scenes of the ever-evolving K-pop industry, offering an intimate look into the lives and journeys of these global stars.
Through exclusive interviews, backstage footage, and never-before-seen content, *K-Pop Idols* will showcase the challenges, triumphs, and personal stories that have shaped the careers of CRAVITY, JESSI, and BLACKSWAN. Fans can expect an immersive experience that delves deep into the artistry, dedication, and resilience required to rise to the top of the K-pop world.
K-Pop Idols will follow Jessi on her first solo tour and CRAVITY as they deal with agency pressures and internal strife. The documentary will also follow BLACKSWAN as they deal with major upheavals and internal strife. The show explores the difficulties that these artists encounter on a personal and professional level, from Jessi’s observations on life and work to the intense rivalry between BLACKSWAN and CRAVITY as they develop as artists.
Jessi is a rapper known for hits like “Nunu Nana” and “Zoom.” CRAVITY, a 9-member boy group under Starship Entertainment, has songs like “Groovy” and “Break all the Rules.” BLACKSWAN is a multinational girl group under DR Music, with hits like “Cat & Mouse.”
Audiences will witness the exhilarating highs and challenging lows of the K-pop industry as the documentary unfolds. From overseas concerts and familial connections to unexpected revelations and critical career choices, the show concludes with a compelling examination of aspirations, reality, and the unwavering desire to be a successful global K-pop star.
The Emmy Award-winning executive producers of Matador Content, Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin, are behind in this documentary. They collaborated with Jack Turner of “War Game” and Bradley Cramp of “Lord of War.” And another talent on Apple TV+’s documentary “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.” The production team has a strong track record of producing high-quality documentaries.
