Now moving the ball of the game into the new generation of K-pop is ALL(H)OURS in their latest release of WITNESS — the group’s 2nd album release since debut.
KUNHO, YOUMIN, XAYDEN, MINJE, MASAMI, HYUNBIN, and ON:N of ALL(H)OURS were happy to introduce their latest album, WITNESS, further looking into the challenges they need to overcome as K-Pop rookies.
It started with a dream
Like any other idols out there, ALL(H)OURS had their aspirations in choosing to pursue their K-Pop dreams.
In a roundtable interview with the group, Pop Journal gets to learn how it all began for the members.
“For me, it all began at the age of seven when PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ became a massive hit. Watching his performances, I was inspired to take the stage like him and experience that joy,” ON:N shared, reminiscing about the day his dream to be a singer later debuted.
“It all started for me in the fifth grade during a talent show. That’s when I began watching idol performances to learn their songs. The first song I covered was ‘Fire’ by BTS. And through dancing to it, I discovered how enjoyable performing could be,” YOUMIN added.
Just like their sunbaes, the members revealed that they were once fans as well and strive to do as well in the K-Pop world. ALL(H)OURS all share their love for BTS, STRAY KIDS, ATEEZ, and PSY.
Moreover, they also feel inspired by Bruno Major’s songs “The Most Beautiful Thing” and “Regent’s Park,” which keep them comforted through their melodies and gentle ambiance.
ALL(H)OURS: The Breakthrough
As the group is inching closer to working their way up and fulfilling their rookie dreams, ALL(H)OURS wanted to establish a style they will forever be remembered for—introducing the genre, “Drift Phonk.” It is a genre that is rooted in the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene.
“We chose to incorporate the genre ‘Drift Phonk’ into the K-pop world for the first time, and we really wanted to leave a lasting impression as the group that works on ourselves and on our career” KUNHO said.
“As the title track suggests, ‘SHOCK’, we aimed to make a significant impact on the K-Pop industry. To increase our recognition, we incorporated ‘Drift Phonk’ into K-Pop. And we will continue challenging ourselves with new genres to constantly present new versions of ourselves to fans,” he added.
Being an idol group that debuted at the start of the year also put pressure on the team. Although with the highest expectations from them. They were able to showcase their phenomenal skills and talent through a back-to-back hit discography.

Discography Personal Favorites
Stanning ALL(H)OURS would be easy peasy lemon squeezy good. The members also unveiled their favorite tracks from all their tracks across both albums.
Three members, KUNHO, YOUMIN, and HYUNBIN, all shared the same favorite, which is “SHOCK.” Putting into such a song the energy and excitement they wanted to share with their fans—probably a crowd favorite.
Additionally, XAYDEN and MINJE agreed on two of the other tracks from their latest album, WITNESS.
“I chose ‘Bout That Issue’ as a song that fits my style, and I like that chic vibe yet excitement towards the end,” XAYDEN shared.
“’BLAH BLAH’ because this is a song in which we worked on the full lyrics [for the] first time, and by doing that, we can effectively show our own colors,” MINJE stated otherwise.
For ON:N and MASAMI, going down memory lane is the way to go, as they recommended songs from their debut album, ALL HOURS, where ON:N picked the song “ALL OURS” as it captures the story of their debut, and “GOTCHA” for MASAMI.
”I’m most fond of our debut song, ‘GOTCHA.’ I want as many people as possible to listen to this song. And the more you listen to it, the more you’ll like it,” MASAMI recalled.
ALL(H)OURS in the Next Chapter
Embracing and embarking on their new journey, the team wanted one message to leave behind.
“I aspire to become someone who can make a positive impact and serve as a role model for others to inspire and emulate,” ALL(H)OURS leader KUNHO said.
“I’d love to compose and write lyrics, so I want to write a hit song for our group. I want to leave it as a legacy for ALL(H)OURS,” XAYDEN added.
From rookies to rockstars, ALL(H)OURS does not doubt a good start. Manifesting a good year ahead for the team as they reach their K-Pop idol dreams and world domination.
