Shanne Dandan captivates with her angelic tunes
Excited fans began to fill the Viva Cafe as they awaited to be graced by the voices of the artists for the night.
First on the set was Shanne Dandan, the 23-year-old songstress who rose to fame after appearing as a contestant on The Voice Kids Philippines. She perfectly set the tone for the evening with her clean vocals, leaving listeners wondering how such a divine sound could come out of a doll-like frame.
As she commanded the stage with her infectious smile, Shanne performed her latest single, “Kailan ba ako magiging masaya?” and “Umaga.”
Paolo Sandejas serenades Viva Cafe audience
Next on the set was Paolo Sandejas. He coolly entered the stage with his guitar, greeting the crowd with a good evening. Aside from his stunning visuals, Paolo allowed everyone to pay close attention to his stage with the relatable lyrics of his songs.
Particularly, he sang “Hide & Seek” and “BLOOM” from his recent EP, Bloom.

Janine Teñoso is your next soulful diva
Watching Janine perform live at the previous ILYSM Concert in February was heaven-sent. As a casual listener since her collaboration with Arthur Nery for “Pelikula,” her songs have been a staple in the daily OPM playlist. But listening to her mellifluous vocals without wearing earphones was the cue to start stanning the amazing songstress.
Janine has expressed how nervous she was about her first solo Viva Cafe gig. Although she joined the music industry in 2016, this was her ultimate chance to hang out closely with fans through music.
After her close musical friends’ performances, Janine went to conquer the Viva Cafe stage with “Pelikula” and then moved immediately to enchant the audience with “Laro.” Janine was simply commendable. Her bubbly personality and stage manner brought fun to the experience, ironically accompanied by such heartbreaking songs as “Umibig Muli” and “Di Na Muli.”
In between her performances, she made sure to interact with her fans, known as Janinjas, even doing a rollcall of where everyone came from. Additionally, the stellar talent granted fans’ long-time wish for her to perform “Fall.” Janine sincerely played her guitar, feeling every word of her written song.
She also included “Tingin,” “Ang Awit Natin,” and “Sandig” in her set. And of course, “Hulaan” flawlessly displayed Janine’s comical side, dancing and making cute gestures during the chorus.
Ending the night, Janine Teñoso made sure to extend her deepest appreciation to everyone who went to her first-ever solo gig at the Viva Cafe. She also promised to continue writing songs for her fans, and we’re all here for it!
