WOODZ - Archive 1

Get ready, PH MOODZ! South Korean artist WOODZ is coming back to the Philippine stage on May 2 for his solo world tour, Archive. 1.

Presented by Applewood Philippines, WOODZ is set for an unforgettable concert in the Philippines on May 2 for Archive. 1. The singer-songwriter will return to the New Frontier Theater, where he previously performed during his 2023 [OO-LI] Tour.

The Archive. 1 Tour launched last month with a two-day concert in South Korea, a week after the release of his first full-length album of the same name. After the explosive resurgence of “Drowning,” the 17-track record now offers his growing audience a deeper look into his artistic vision and versatility.

Get to Know Cho Seungyoun

Since 2014, WOODZ (also known as Cho Seungyoun) has gradually established his career through various musical ventures. He made his debut with UNIQ, a South Korean-Chinese boy group by Yuehua Entertainment. During his time in the group, WOODZ participated in Show Me The Money 5 and released solo music under the name Luizy.

After UNIQ began their indefinite hiatus in 2018, he adopted the stage name WOODZ and continued writing and producing songs for various artists. He joined the survival show Produce X 101 the following year, ranking 5th overall and debuting as part of X1. Although their run was brief before their disbandment, WOODZ ultimately won the hearts of many through the show.

By 2020, he shifted his focus to his solo career and has since been creating his own space in the industry. However, his biggest break came at the most unexpected time. While completing his mandatory military service in 2024, he had the honor of performing “Drowning” on the music program Immortal Songs 2. Despite being released in 2023, his emotional performance made the song an overnight classic, propelling it to the charts and continuing to break several records to this day.
