How did YG find their Treasure?

Having made their debut in 2019 under YG Entertainment, Treasure is currently the label’s most recently formed boy group. Their roster is notably different compared to their peers, such as Winner and Blackpink; Treasure has ten members in their lineup!

Seven members of Treasure were finalists in the reality show YG Treasure Box. Meanwhile, the remaining members were a separate batch of trainees. This quintet was supposed to debut as Magnum, a separate group, before being merged with Treasure to form the now-ten-member ensemble we are familiar with today.

It’s also no secret that Treasure is definitely one of K-Pop’s hardest-working groups. They’ve released a tetralogy of albums titled The First Step, which sold over a million copies in total. Following up the massive wave of momentum was their duology called The Second Step. They are currently promoting their latest release, “Third Step,” which is the full-length album Reboot, which the upcoming Asia tour is in support of.

The third time’s (still) the charm!

Surprisingly enough, Filipino fans of Treasure have always been fortunate enough to witness the group up close. Their arrival in May marks the third time they’ve been in the country. Back in 2022, they wowed audiences when they were featured in the K-Pop Masterz concert. Alongside Treasure in this lineup were Bambam and Jackson Wang of GOT7 fame. In the following year, they flew from the nest and included Manila as part of their first-ever solo tour, Hello

It’s clear that Treasure is always willing to show a lot of love to their Treasure Makers in the Philippines, and the upcoming concert in May will be no exception. Here’s to hoping it’ll be a golden time for both the group and fans alike!
