Pulp Summer Slam is coming back to the Philippines to mark the 20th year of the music festival.

Pulp Summer Slam is a music festival dedicated to the rock and heavy metal genres. This is the longest-running metal festival in Southeast Asia, going back to its first installment in 2000. Hence, the title of this year, PULP SUMMER SLAM XX: WORLDS COLLIDE, is to commemorate the 20th year of the music festival.

This music festival is not only for Filipino fans but also fans from across the globe who have attended it throughout its ongoing 20-year run.

A statement from PULP Live World CEO Vernon Go, when asked for his thoughts, said, “I had thought of ending PULP Summer Slam on its 20th year, but I’ve changed my mind… Metal shall live.” Based on that, the PULP Summer Slam will continue for the foreseeable future, which is great news for the fans.

PULP Summer Slam XX: Worlds Collide details

The lineup for this year’s PULP Summer Slam contains ten well-recognized bands from across the world. They are CRYPTA (Brazil), ROLLING QUARTZ (South Korea), FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE (Italy), and PROMPTS (Japan). LA DISPUTE, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, and OF VIRTUE are from the United States. Metalcore cult legends and co-headliners CODE ORANGE and STORY OF THE YEAR.

Moreover, the music festival is headlined by the Australian band PARKWAY DRIVE, one of the most famous underground metal bands in the world. This is their second time to come to the Philippines, with their first visit way back in 2011.

Ticket prices for the show will range from PHP 1,500 to PHP 10,000. Fans can purchase tickets via TicketNet, PULP Tickets, and SM Tickets. The PULP Royalty tickets will also come with benefits for the ultimate VIP experience.
