The long wait is over, UAENA! IU is coming back to the Philippines with a solo concert in June 2024, making her the first K-pop idol to have a solo concert in the Philippine Arena.
On January 17, K-pop sensation IU delighted her fans with the announcement of her 2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour concert. Among the celebrators of the news are Filipino UAENAs (also known as MAAENA), as the Philippines made it to the official list of tour stops.

Lee Ji-Eun, widely known by her stage name IU, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress. Thanks to her sweet voice and impressive acting skills, the thirty-year-old artist has gained fans in both K-Pop and K-Drama niches. With over 15 years of experience in her portfolio, she is a household name that sweeps charts with her music and captures the hearts of avid drama watchers all over the world.
IU is recognized for her songs such as Good Day, Palette, Blueming, and Lilac, to name a few. She has also lent her voice to OSTs of shows like Someday (2011, Dream High), Hold My Hand (2011, The Greatest Love), and I Give You My Heart (2020, Crash Landing On You).
Additionally, IU holds the record of being the first female K-Pop artist to have a solo concert at renowned venues in Seoul. In 2019, she performed at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, followed by a show at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in 2022.

With the rise of K-culture appreciation in the Philippines over the years, it’s not a surprise that IU has an established Filipino fanbase. A solo concert at the world’s largest indoor stadium that can accommodate up to 55,000 people? Truly a queen behavior!
IU will kickstart the 2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert with back-to-back shows in the KSPO Dome in Seoul on March 2–3 and 9–10. Following that, she will be performing 25 shows in 17 cities across Asia, the USA, and Europe. This will be a great opportunity for the singer and fans alike to meet again after the pandemic.
