Flashback From One Year Earlier in Zomvivor Episode 2

Zomvivor episode 2 begins with Earth and Gus trying to find a usable vehicle to escape. However, while doing so, a zombie started to come near them. Luckily, the sound of guns was heard, distracting and drawing the zombies’ attention.

The scene shifted to a flashback where Non and Ning’s mother was still working and not in a coma. Non and Ning were bickering about a game when their mother entered to stop them. Their mother, Kanjana, then left for work.

Kanjana rode a motorcycle, as if she worked as a delivery rider. However, someone took over her motor, and she was taken into a van. Next thing, Kanjana was at a laboratory and heard screams.

She found the dead body of a girl, Joe (her boss’s son), and San (her daughter’s boyfriend). Joe suddenly collapsed, and later the scene shifted to Kanjana talking to Joe’s father. It turned out that Kanjana was working on a project called Anisong. This scene was probably the reason why San froze during episode 1—seeing blood all over.

Kanjana wanted to be removed from the project after what happened. But she knew she couldn’t walk away, so she proposed to inject the vaccine into herself, just like Joe. So every symptom Joe had, she would feel it too. From this, Joe’s father could rest assured that she would continue working on the cure. And if she succeeded, she and her children would be allowed to walk away from the project.

Every Single One of Them Had Their Own Struggle

When the present time appeared again in Zomvivor episode 2, it showed Fah getting worried about her father. She was repeatedly trying to call him, but there was no signal. Lily tried to calm her down, but Fah ended up telling Lily that Lily’s father might be safe because he’s in the military, while Fah’s father wasn’t—knowing he couldn’t walk properly.

Prao started to get irritated with how whiny Fah was and began to drag her away. Lily tried to interfere, but Prao said she’d bring Fah to her father so she could quit throwing a fit. Lily called Prao a bitch, prompting a conflict between them.

The others tried to stop them. While Fah was sitting alone, Jean sat beside her. Jean started telling Fah about Pao’s past—how he lost his family when he was a kid. He added that everyone has a reason to leave.

Lily, on the other hand, appeared strong, but deep inside, she was also worried about her dad. Win asked if she was okay, but Lily just asked for his hand. She held Win’s hand and started crying.

Their Plan to Leave; Zombies Coming Back to Work

When morning came, the group decided to leave since no more survivors were coming. This was also rooted in what they saw last night—zombies walking together like they were going somewhere. San instructed them to look for something they could use to fight.

San asked Jean to come with him. When left alone, San asked Jean if he knew the research Ning was working on with Prof. Wiroj. Jean asked what research he was referring to, and San pointed to the one that would cure Ning’s mom.

In this scene, San was acting suspicious. Why would he ask Jean instead of Ning, his girlfriend? He might have known something about Kanjana’s illness since he was also there when Joe collapsed.

Meanwhile, Mook tried to talk to Pao, who was still down because of Nan’s death—blaming himself. Mook said that he must get a grip because if he doesn’t, he won’t be able to save anyone—not even himself. When he came to his senses, he started to look for weapons too.

Phu, Lily, Fah, and Thi saw the zombies coming back to work, which is very unlikely for zombies. It’s like they remember what they used to do before. The group decided to separate so they could tell the others.

Setting a New Escape Plan in Zomvivor Episode 2

As they were escaping the zombies who came back to work, Fah and Lily were about to escape. However, Fah’s phone suddenly rang, catching the zombies’ attention. Lily had to run, but a zombie hovered over her. She was bitten and even used herself to block the zombie so Fah could escape.

Phu, Non, and the others saw Fah running away from zombies. Pao tried to help Fah and fight the zombies before they ran away. Win, Night, and Prao saw Lily’s body. Win tried to call Lily’s name, but Prao decided to leave the two of them.

Prao saw Thi and his group running away. They ran upstairs to avoid the zombies. As the zombies’ attention was drawn by Fah’s ringing phone, she met her death through her own reckless actions.

Before the episode closed, Pao was getting mad at Jean, asking why she left Fah there. Thorn said that if Jean hadn’t helped him, he’d probably be dead by now. As they were about to go upstairs, Phu noticed that Pao had a wound. Assuming it was a bite, they tried to get away. Meanwhile, Win and Night tried to run away from Lily, who had turned into a zombie.

Zomvivor Episode 2 Review

Zomvivor episode 2 got me frustrated, especially with Fah. She was the reason why Lily got bitten—and the reason why she herself got bitten as well. How hard was it to throw a phone, knowing its sound was attracting zombies? That was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen so far.

In addition, what interests me in this episode is the Anisong Project and Kanjana’s involvement in it. Was it related to the zombie outbreak? What does San know about Kanjana’s illness?

There are too many questions arising, and we’re just in the second episode. Sit back and let’s roll through more of the episodes!
