“The man without fear” returns to defend New York city once again against Kingpin and his task force.
Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again premieres its second season on March 25, 2026. The first episode continues where it left off last season which pits Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk with the fate of New York city in the balance.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 1: “The Northern Star”
The episode starts off in a cargo ship named “The Northern Star”. Matt Murdock, now sporting his vigilante costume in all-black, hijacks the ship to investigate. He finds out that the ship carrying high-grade weapons relating to Wilson Fisk. The crew discovers and abandon the ship, with the captain, first mate, and Murdock as survivors.
They have one problem, though. The ship could not fully sink, which caught the attention of citizens and Fisk.
Murdock and Page
After the ship incident, Matt returns to the now wrecked and abandoned Josie’s bar. He finds Karen Page, now also training in hand-to-hand combat. Just like old times, both are again in hiding against Fisk. We also get confirmation that the two are in a romantic relationship, rekindling their feelings from season 2 of the original series.

Wilson Fisk – “Safe Streets” continue
Now being the mayor of New York and declaring martial law, Wilson Fisk’s duties pile up with his “safe streets” act and his other duties as the Kingpin. His hunt for Murdock and other members of the resistance goes on. Potentially facing pressure for his “unconventional” tactics as mayor, he gets help from the mysterious Mr. Charles and a certain Ms. De Fontaine to keep his mayoral duties on.
“You’re Welcome”
Murdock gets help from trusted ally Cherry to continue his investigation of “The Northern Star.” Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante task force raided Cherry’s apartment. They interrogate him on why he is investigating the survivors of the ship. Murdock comes to the rescue, but while handling the task force, he senses Cherry’s heartbeat in danger. This makes him lose focus because the beat is similar to the one from Foggy Nelson during his last moments. It brings a sense of familiarity to him.
With this, the task force overwhelms him and takes off his mask, revealing his identity. Just when he is about to be executed, a wave of shots hits the task force to their demise. Lastly, a knife ricochets with such accuracy and lands in front of Murdock. The knife has a writing of “you’re welcome” with a target symbol in it.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 1 thoughts
Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most hyped projects of the MCU right now, and the season 2 premiere shows why. The darker tone is still present, which complements the mature themes and storyline well. Some say it might start slow, but it’s just the first episode of the new season. The cast did say this is on par with the original series, so that is a good sign of more good things to come from this season.
We cannot wait for episode 2!
