Bridgerton Season 4 Episode 4 Recap: Sophie Works at Bridgerton House
Bridgerton Season 4 episode 4 opens with Benedict bringing Sophie to the Bridgerton house after Araminta successfully blacklists her from employment across London. Unable to secure her a position elsewhere, Benedict instead offers Sophie a job himself. A gesture that leaves her angry and deeply uncomfortable. He promises to stay out of her way. Although Violet hesitates, she eventually agrees to take Sophie on as a temporary lady’s maid for Benedict’s sake.
Elsewhere, Sophie settles into the household and quickly bonds with the staff, including John, Celia, and Mrs. Wilson. She is relieved when Benedict keeps his promise and hires Hazel as well. Yet an awkward tension lingers as she and Benedict repeatedly find themselves searching for one another. Meanwhile, Gregory returns home, Violet grows bolder in her interactions with Marcus, and Mrs. Wilson encourages her to take a night off and invite him over, assuring Violet that she deserves happiness.
Later, Hyacinth attempts to reconnect with Eloise, only for Eloise to become more intrigued by Sophie after discovering they share the same taste in books.
