A Spine Thrilling Netflix Series: “A Killer Paradox”

Let the chills take over and be prepared for Choi Woo Shik’s comeback in the crime-thriller “A Killer Paradox”!

Netflix announced the webtoon-inspired series A Killer Paradox will officially air on Friday, February 9. The first season of the ‘Sarinja o Nangam, an adapted thriller series. In the event of being confronted by crime, college student turned vigilante killer Lee discovers a supernatural ability.  

Choi Woo Shik once again embraces the challenge of being in a crime-thriller series. Following his successful roles in the award-winning films “Parasite” and “Train to Busan.”

Rip-roaring trailers capture the storyline of the series. It follows Choi Woo Shik running through a darkened alley with a sinister look on his face. The minute-long video teasers also showcase the appearance of renowned K-drama stars Lee Hee Jun of Legend and the Blue Sea (2016) and Son Suk Ku of My Liberation Notes (2022).

The series goes with the tagline “God Sent Hero” or “Unpunished Sinner.”

Choi Woo Shik could not contain his excitement, as he shared bits of teasers on his personal Instagram account of the official series poster with the caption “Please Show Us Some Love.”

Thereafter, in a press conference held for the series, Woo Shik shared his excitement to bring Lee Tang’s character to life.

“I really enjoyed the webtoon and felt a desire to do this, to work this character out as an actor. I also had the confidence that I could do it well,” Woo Shik says.

“So I threw myself in [to the project],” he said, giving a glimpse of his character’s growth,” he added.

The series is directed by the University Film Festival of Korea (UNIFF) director of the year (2018), Lee Chang Hee. He is also known for his films “The Vanished” (2018) and “Hell is Other People” (2019).

Moreover, promising a spine-thrilling series, “A Killer Paradox” is set to make its way into your must-watch K-series in 2024.
