The Beat of the Story

Spring of Youth is the perfect series for people with big dreams and higher hopes. While the reality is never that simple, there’s always power in collective determination. The story begins with Sa Gye (Ha Yoo-joon), an ex-member of a famous band. After being hastily kicked out of the group, he’s forced to start anew by enrolling in college.

While in university, he encounters Kim Bom (Park Ji-hu), a musical prodigy with an unfortunate past. They begin to bond over their mutual affection for music, making new friends and establishing a campus band along the way. A humble ode to the younger generation—Spring of Youth highlights the indescribable emotions of first loves, self-discovery, and growth.

The Faces Behind the Music: Main Cast and Characters

Story of Youth’s ensemble of characters begins and ends with their respective actors, each playing a significant role in the story’s narrative.

Ha Yoo-joon will play as Sa Gye, the vocalist and guitarist of the fictional K-pop band “The Crown.” His involuntary exit from the group leads him to a new chapter in life as a university student. However, Sa Gye’s love for music doesn’t fade away that easily as he joins a co-ed campus band with his newfound friends.

Next is our female lead, Park Ji-hu, who will step into the shoes of Kim Bom. She’s known as one of Hanju University’s most talented students, even aspiring to be in the Ivy League. But when her mother suddenly passes away, her dreams come to a halt. When she meets Sa Gye, she gets to reignite her tucked-away passion—taking on the role of the band’s vocalist and keyboardist.

Meanwhile, N.Flying’s Lee Seung-hyub will star as Seo Tae-yang. As someone born into a family of doctors, he was forced to pursue medicine. However, his affinity for music can’t be denied. With his composed demeanor and natural charisma, he became the band’s leader and guitarist.

In addition, we have Kim Sun-min as Gong Jin-goo, the band’s skilled drummer, and Seo Hye-won as Bae Gyu-ri, Kim Bom’s beloved cousin and Sa Gye’s loyal fan.
