Geum’bo’s Undercover Begins in Undercover Miss Hong Episode 2
Undercover Miss Hong episode 2 begins with Geum-bo moving into a hostel with her new roommates. She is assigned to stay there to get closer to Go Bok-hee. She takes her sister Jang-mi’s identity as a 20-year-old. Geum-bo immediately sets out to build a connection with Bok-hee. But she meets resistance at first.
We learn that Bok-hee experienced a traumatic event at her own age of 20. It has shaped her dreams of moving to Santa Monica. Though hints suggest her brother may also be in some kind of trouble. Another roommate, No-ra—Pil-beom’s granddaughter—introduces herself as Eun-jo to avoid recognition, adding another layer to Geum-bo’s undercover environment.
Tension arises when some assistants target Bok-hee, and Geum-bo steps in to defend her alongside Eun-jo. The intervention, however, backfires slightly when Eun-jo ends up sprawled on the floor, only to be scolded by Bok-hee for meddling. Despite this rocky start, Geum-bo quickly proves herself at work.

She befriends her team, which consists of three men: Bang Jin-mok, Lee Yong-ki, and Albert. Their camaraderie grows as they go out drinking together, giving Geum-bo opportunities to subtly gather information while also showing her approachable and charming personality as a junior member of the team.
Through her interactions both at the hostel and at work, Geum-bo begins to navigate her undercover mission carefully. She balances gaining the trust of Bok-hee and her colleagues while maintaining her cover, slowly laying the groundwork to uncover secrets within Hanmin. Her wit, determination, and personable nature make her a relatable and engaging protagonist as the story moves forward.
Geum-bo’s Ex-lover
It turns out that the new man stepping into Myeong-hwi’s former role is Geum-bo’s ex from over ten years ago. Early in her career, she had been highly successful. They even shared a brief but charming office romance. The reasons for their breakup remain unclear, adding a layer of tension to their reunion.
Meanwhile, Bok-hee learns she is at risk of being fired. With a new company president, a new assistant is required—and that role falls directly to Jang-mi, Geum-bo’s undercover identity. Naturally, she cannot work directly with Jung-woo, given their past relationship, and he is likely to see through her disguise. Nevertheless, Geum-bo remains determined to help Bok-hee, partly to keep her close and partly to use her as a source of information about Yehppee.
Geum-bo dedicates herself to mentoring Bok-hee, guiding her in every detail to ensure she keeps her position as Jung-woo’s assistant. She coaches her on personal preferences, such as the man’s love of pizza and the type of documents that impress him, allowing Bok-hee to play her cards perfectly. Thanks to Geum-bo’s careful guidance, Jung-woo ultimately decides to retain Bok-hee.
At the same time, Jung-woo assigns the risk management team the task of digitizing all of the company’s financial documents. This additional responsibility introduces a new challenge for Geum-bo, who must balance maintaining her cover, supporting Bok-hee, and quietly investigating Hanmin from within.

Jung-woo Saw Geum-bo
At the end of Undercover Miss Hong episode 2, Bok-hee returns to the office and unexpectedly gets a hidden ledger, raising new questions about her role in the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, Jae-beom shares a startling revelation with Geum-bo: the money she took from her previous company was originally embezzled, meaning she effectively stole from a thief. This further complicates the investigation and points toward a larger web of corruption.
Hints begin to suggest that Bok-hee herself may be Yehppee, the whistleblower who had been secretly working with Myeong-hwi. Jae-beom’s earlier remark about his assistant making calls now seems like a deliberate deflection, hiding the truth that his assistant could be more involved than anyone suspected.
Undercover Miss Hong episode 2 concludes with a tense cliffhanger. While sneaking into the office to search for crucial documents, Geum-bo is caught by Jung-woo. In an instant, he spins her around, leaving her—and the audience—in shock. This dramatic moment sets the stage for escalating tension as Geum-bo’s undercover mission faces unexpected risks.
