Ju-Ran’s Fall from Power in Undercover Miss Hong Finale Episode

After discovering that the slush fund has been emptied, Song Ju-ran realizes her position is unstable. Dal-su even urges her to grab whatever money she can and escape with him, but she refuses. Determined to maintain control, she focuses on targeting Bok-hee for arrest and doing everything she can to make the Yeouido Pirates’ lives difficult. Her first close call comes when Choi In-ja accuses her of orchestrating No-ra’s childhood kidnapping, though she still retains Pil-beom’s trust—at least for the moment.

No-ra’s defection delivers another major blow. Pil-beom begins blaming Ju-ran for losing the slush funds, since she was the only other person aware of all the details. When she finally attempts to flee the country with Pil-beom’s emergency cash, Dal-su intervenes and abducts her, taking her directly to Pil-beom. There, Pil-beom makes it clear that she will not be forgiven, no matter how much she pleads. Her grip on power rapidly collapses as the consequences of her actions begin catching up to her.

Keum-bo’s Rescue and Justice

Meanwhile, Keum-bo begins investigating the murder of the Hanmin employee Kim I-gyeong, which Ju-ran had covered up. Suspecting Dal-su’s involvement, she alerts her police contacts. Though they cannot act without a warrant, they follow Dal-su to Pil-beom’s house. Using her keys, No-ra gains them access, allowing Keum-bo to locate Ju-ran being held hostage in the basement.

They rescue her, but Keum-bo must fight Dal-su off until the police arrive. During the investigation, they discover that Dal-su has been collecting wallets from every person he has murdered, including FSS director Yun Jae-beom’s younger brother, Jae-ung, who had been presumed dead by suicide.

Afterward, Keum-bo visits Ju-ran in the hospital. She explains that while Ju-ran deserves punishment, it should not come through Pil-beom’s cruel plans. Though Ju-ran does not openly agree to cooperate, it appears she may finally provide the authorities with the truth. This marks a quiet end to her thirty years of power at Hanmin, giving her a chance to make amends for the harm she inflicted—particularly on the company’s female employees.

Pil-beom’s Fall and a New Leader

Pil-beom initially tries to defend himself. His lawyer claims that the financial ledger connected to the slush funds is fake. At this moment, Bang Jin-mok steps forward and changes everything. He testifies that he personally created the ledger and even made twelve backup copies. The case does not end immediately.

But Pil-beom now faces serious legal trouble. Realizing his situation is worsening, he secretly prepares to escape to Switzerland with Choi In-ja. However, In-ja finally turns against him. Instead of driving him to the airport, she leads him straight to a police station. She hands over his fake passports and hidden cash to the authorities, which leads to his arrest.

With Pil-beom removed from power, Hanmin suddenly needs a new leader. The Yeouido Pirates first offer the position to So Gyeong-dong, but he refuses because he was involved with the slush funds. Instead, he recommends an unexpected candidate—Cha Jung-il. Through a series of events and quiet support, Jung-il ends up becoming Hanmin’s new CEO. Watching this happen, Keum-bo simply remarks that sometimes the position is what truly shapes the person who holds it.

The Women of Room 301 Move Forward

In the ending of Undercover Miss Hong, the new Year of the Dragon brings fresh beginnings for all the women from Room 301. Keum-bo continues working in finance, but her skills have impressed her boss so much that she’s now an official undercover agent, with her next assignment set in Busan. Bom narrates what each woman has achieved, giving a sweet and nostalgic touch. Even though time has passed since the events of the show, it’s clear these women have grown and succeeded together, and their accomplishments feel both inspiring and well-earned.

Bok-hee has left prison, where she had been managing money for inmates, and now runs her own detective agency helping women track the slush funds of their husbands. Jang-mi works for her, keeping the dynamic lively. Mi-sook has become an assistant manager at Hanmin, confidently handling the men who once tried to intimidate her. Meanwhile, No-ra has followed her passion and trained in Paris to become a pastry chef. The friends only reunite for special occasions, like Bom’s elementary school graduation, but their bond remains strong. Despite seeing each other rarely, the shared hardships and victories of Room 301 have created a friendship that endures.

The Rest of the Yeouido Pirates

The Yeouido Pirates also move on with their lives. Jung-woo takes an unusual K-drama turn by traveling abroad instead of confessing his feelings to Keum-bo. Al has purchased a house and is working on his screenplay, while Yong-gi pursues a career in gaming and has invested in land in Pongyo. At the time, the area was mostly farmland, but it’s now considered South Korea’s “Silicon Valley,” making Yong-gi’s investment a smart move. Together, the Pirates continue to chase their ambitions, each carving out a unique path while remaining connected to the adventures and successes they shared with Keum-bo and the women of Room 301.
