Tempest episode 7 reveals two Stella Youngs.
Tempest episode 7 opens with Sanho putting a gun to Ethan’s head after escaping from the NIS. He asks if the client was really Kim Hansang but Ethan tells him the real client is actually another person, an American woman named Stella Young. Sanho threatens Ethan into helping him find this woman who seems to be pulling all the strings.
Now that Sanho and Munju are not on good terms, she reunites with Miji and Changhee, after the latter finally woke up from the accident. They stay at the house of Miji’s friend and discuss with Anderson the text message Munju received claiming that the nuclear submarine is real.
Anderson said he received intel that for the past five 5 years, North Korea had been building two submarines simultaneously, the first of which had already been unveiled in episode 6 and the second one, the nuclear submarine, which remains hidden somewhere.

The fake Stella Young
Sanho begins his search for Stella Young by asking Ethan to provide all records related to her. Ethan sends him several documents and photos of Hanna Kang, and he is almost convinced she could be the Stella Young he is looking for.
Meanwhile, a lawyer from Argentina who is handling Junik’s properties there flew to South Korea looking for Munju. He claims that the reason for Junik’s death could be about inheritance because his properties over in Argentina cost trillions. He explains that he is in constant communication with Junik’s representative and was about to make a final payment on a real estate property in Argentina.
The lawyer further revealed that the name of Junik’s representative is Stella Young. This implies that Stella Young is someone in close proximity to Junik, and at this point all evidence points to Hanna Kang being that woman.
Later that night, Sanho confronts Hanna and says he is looking for Stella Young. He shares in detail everything he knows about Stella Young. Hanna attempts to provoke him by asking Sanho if he thinks they are the same person. Sanho, however, confidently says that there are two Stella Youngs and that she is just a decoy catching Hanna off guard, a telltale sign that he hit the nail on the head.
Betrayal after betrayal
Just when we thought enough people had betrayed Munju, another one comes in. Im Dujin, who Munju considered her invaluable mentor, was all along an undercover NIS secretary working alongside the government to frame anyone whose actions do not align with the interests of the government as a spy.
Im Dujin was not only possibly involved with Junik’s death, he was also responsible the murder of Father Yang. With disappointment vividly written on her face, Munju holds Dujin hostage to get to the bottom of Junik’s death and they go to a faraway place to meet his accomplice.
The real Stella Young
Munju and the team did their preparations for the confrontation. They had a plan, and they were determined to make it work. But nothing could prepare Munju for the person that will appear before her… none other than her own mother-in-law, Okseon followed by Hanna.
Munju asks Okseon if she killed her own son but the latter insists she didn’t. Okseon reveals that Junik was a child born out of her husband’s affair. It seems that Hanna’s affection towards Junik was genuine because when Okseon orders Hanna to shoot, she hesitates. Instead of shooting Munju, Hanna points the gun to Okseon but before she could pull the trigger, Okseon’s bodyguards stop her.
Hanna gets back to her feet and says that she had been waiting for the right moment to avenge Junik and confirms that it was Okseon that killed him. Suddenly, the NIS barges in following Unhak’s lead and ordered his agents to shoot any armed spy.
Sanho and Munju reunites
The lights go off and Sanho singlehandedly takes out every NIS agent to protect Munju. As they were about to run away, they find that building was perched on a cliff with the vast ocean stretched far below making escape impossible.
The NIS manages to land a bullet on Sanho’s back and in a final, desperate act, he holds Munju tight and plunges into the depths of the ocean. They miraculously make it out alive and both fall into each other’s arms in relief.
