Dreams and Small Adventures in Still Shining Episode 2
Still Shining episode 2 opens with the students preparing for their upcoming PSAT exams. Their high school teacher, Jeong-su, drives Eun-a and Tae-seo home and reminds them to be at the bus stop by 7 a.m. the next morning. He also reviews the items they need to bring for the test.
That night, Eun-a messages Tae-seo, asking him to arrive ten minutes early so they can spend some time together before Jeong-su shows up. The next morning, she gives him her scarf for luck, while he hands her his nametag to hold during the exam. After completing the test, the two decide to head to the beach. When Eun-a suggests visiting the Han River instead, Tae-seo admits he does not have enough money. She offers to use her allowance, and they take a bus to Seoul to make the most of their time together.

Once in Seoul, they stop at a tent shop and order noodles. While eating, Eun-a opens up about her mother, who left when she was very young. Despite the abandonment, she speaks fondly of her and admits she never had the chance to form a proper relationship. Soon after, she asks Tae-seo to show her the Han River. They quickly finish their food and hurry toward the riverbank.
Standing by the water, Eun-a shares her dream of becoming independent. For her, independence means reaching a point where her father is mentally stable and she no longer has to worry about him. Tae-seo responds by revealing that his goal is to become self-reliant so he never burdens anyone else.

Secret Moments of Tae-seo and Eun-a
Later that night, Eun-a and Tae-seo rush to the station to catch the last train home. During the ride, Eun-a worries about whether their relationship can survive once they leave for college. Tae-seo reassures her, promising that constant messages and calls will keep them close. Feeling hopeful, they share a tender kiss, solidifying their bond.
After arriving home, Eun-a sneaks Tae-seo into her house. They feel nervous and awkward at first, but eventually find themselves in her bedroom. When her father, Sun-gyu, knocks on the door to check on her, Eun-a quickly says she is going to bed, and Tae-seo panics until the knock passes. As he tries to get closer, Eun-a suddenly becomes shy, admitting she is embarrassed about the floral thermals she is wearing.

Over the next month, the couple secretly spends time together while preparing their university applications. One evening, So-hyeon and her colleague Bae Seong-chan discuss Sun-gyu. So-hyeon asks Seong-chan to bring food for Eun-a, unaware that Tae-seo is with her. Seong-chan quietly leaves the food outside her door.
As they wait for their acceptance letters, Eun-a and Tae-seo spend most of their days together. Eventually, Jeong-su informs Tae-seo’s grandparents that he has been accepted into his chosen university. Soon after, Tae-seo takes Eun-a on a date and tells her he must move to Seoul immediately to start tutoring at a friend’s academy, marking the start of a new chapter in their lives.
Tae-seo and Eun-a’s College Life in Still Shining Episode 2
Though worried about the future, Eun-a spends the day with Tae-seo before his departure. On the morning he leaves, Chang-sik drives him to the bus station and gives him money to buy new clothes. Tae-seo promises to visit often, but his grandfather advises him to focus on his studies instead.
Just then, Eun-a calls to say she is waiting at the station to see him off. They take photos together and spend their remaining moments talking before the train departs for Seoul. As they prepare to part, Eun-a receives her college acceptance letter. The two celebrate briefly before saying goodbye.
At Hanguk University, Tae-seo settles into his dormitory and later visits his parents’ graves. There, he promises to study diligently and assures them that he will take care of Hui-seo. Meanwhile, both Tae-seo and Eun-a begin adjusting to college life and meeting new friends. Despite their busy schedules, they continue to talk on the phone late into the night.
Still missing Tae-seo, Eun-a eventually takes a bus to Seoul. She considers calling him but decides against it, remembering he has a tutoring session. Her resentment toward So-hyeon lingers, especially after believing she betrayed her father. When Eun-a finally reunites with Tae-seo, they spend the day together, rekindling their bond amid the changes in their lives.

Eun-a’s Family Tensions
Not long after, Eun-a runs into Seong-chan and learns that her father plans to marry So-hyeon. Shocked, she rushes home and confronts So-hyeon about the man she once saw at her apartment. Seong-chan overhears their heated argument. During the confrontation, So-hyeon insists she will end things with the other man, which only heightens Eun-a’s frustration.
As Eun-a tries to leave, Seong-chan stops her and promises to help her find a job. He also asks her to congratulate So-hyeon and her father in front of their guests. Though hesitant, Eun-a follows through before leaving the house and heading to Seoul. Once there, she texts Tae-seo, expressing her uncertainty about everything. Realizing she is in the city, Tae-seo rushes out, hurrying through Seoul to meet Eun-a.

Still Shining episode 2 deepens the emotional connection between Tae-seo and Eun-a while highlighting their individual dreams and struggles. The episode balances lighthearted moments, like their trip to the Han River, with more serious themes, including family tension and the pressure of upcoming exams.
