Spirit Fingers episode 7 shows how one tiny moment can snowball into an emotional mess painted in bright, embarrassing red.
Previously, Nam Gijeong (Cho Jun Young) kissed Uyeon’s (Park Ji Hu) eye to comfort her as she cried. Spirit Fingers episode 7 opens with Gijeong stumbling through an explanation for suddenly kissing Uyeon’s eye. Mortified, Uyeon yells at him to leave, and Gijeong flees in panic.

At school, Uyeon receives a message from Gijeong. He says he will “take responsibility.” For what exactly, Uyeon will only find out if she accepts his invitation to a fancy restaurant. So she did.
Now more mortified than ever, Uyeon finds herself at a fancy restaurant, which is obviously not the place for two high schoolers. Not only that, Gijeong declares this is his way of taking responsibility for kissing her without permission. Embarrassed by Gijeong’s repeated use of the word “kiss,” Uyeon implores him to just call it “the thing” instead. Somehow, that only makes it sound worse, and the situation is now so awkward that she has to leave.
Geurin’s Ideal Type
The scene shifts to Koo Seonho (Choi Bo Min), who stares at his selfie with Geurin (Park You Na) and drifts into memories of their high school days. Seonho already liked her back in high school but lacked the confidence to confess. In particular, he remembers Geurin mentioning her ideal type in passing, someone with blonde hair who exists only in books, or so she thought. Before Seonho could even try to become her ideal type, Geurin spotted a senior in school who perfectly matched her fantasy version of her ideal man.
Meanwhile in the present, Geurin’s mind fills with the thought of Seonho’s sudden declaration that he’s heading to the military.
Gijeong’s Color
The Spirit Fingers group chat lights up when Seonho announces the week’s theme: red. Realizing that it’s Gijeong’s color, Uyeon nearly skips the meeting but eventually forces herself to go, arriving right after the star of the week.
The instant she opens the door, she sees Gijeong blissfully unaware of who’s behind him. Seeing Gijeong clearly overly hyped, Uyeon tries to retreat, but Pink (Kwon So Hyun) and Black Finger (Kim Seul Gi) catch her and insist on dressing her up.
Shortly after, they loudly announce Uyeon’s entrance, much to her humiliation. As Uyeon resists entering the room, they drag her in, and she bumps right into Gijeong, who had stepped toward the door eagerly. They stay in each other’s arms a second too long, giving the members an idea that something happened between them.
Trying to escape the embarrassment, the two slip outside. Gijeong proudly says he didn’t tell anyone about “the thing,” which only embarrasses Uyeon further. She snaps at him, and he sulks for half a second before melting at how cute she looks in his color.
Gijeong inches closer, but the rest of the club arrives, interrupting the moment. Uyeon panics and pushes him to the floor.
A love spell
Geurin skips the weekly gathering, but she stops by afterwards. She tells Seonho she needs more time to sort out her feelings. Knowing she tends to do the opposite of what people tell her, Seonho casts a playful spell upon Geurin: “Don’t ever miss me. Don’t ever think about how charming I am. Don’t ever see me in a new light.”

Predictably, the spell works. Geurin is consumed by thoughts of Seonho, his words reverberating in her mind like a resounding echo.
Yerim makes her move
As Spirit Fingers episode 7 draws to a close, Ahn Yerim (Kang Hye Won), disturbed by how differently Gijeong treats Uyeon compared to her, meets with Uyeon and pointedly claims that she’s Gijeong’s ex. Fully aware that she can’t refuse, Yerim asks Uyeon to bring her along to Spirit Fingers’ next gathering.
Back home, Uyeon thinks back on Gijeong’s earlier words about never having liked anyone. She spirals into self-doubt and believes that they don’t look good together anyway, so Uyeon decides to agree to bring Yerim along.
