Spirit Fingers episode 10

Spirit Fingers episode 10 strikes a perfect balance between humor, romance, and emotional depth, featuring Gijeong’s failed first-kiss attempt, Uyeon’s quiet moments of self-discovery, and the intricate dynamics of budding relationships, advancing the characters’ journeys in true Spirit Fingers fashion.

Spirit Fingers episode 10 begins with the club gathering for a summer-themed session, the room bursting with bright tropical colors and the members dressed for the summer. The mood, however, is anything but sunny thanks to Gijeong and Wu Dol.

Spirit Fingers episode 10

Wu Dol flatly refuses to draw Gijeong, referring to him as a “giant creep.” But Gijeong is unfazed and simply tells Wu Dol to watch closely and see what kind of guy he really is. To everyone’s surprise, Wu Dol suddenly volunteers to do the couple pose with Gijeong. Oblivious to Wu Dol’s scheme, Gijeong agrees. Wu Dol promptly plops himself on Gijeong’s stomach, determined to sabotage his perfect surfing pose, but impressively, Gijeong holds the pose for a full five minutes, much to Wu Dol’s disappointment.

After the gathering is over, Uyeon consoles Wu Dol with cookies. Wu Dol begrudgingly assures Uyeon that he won’t tell on her relationship with Gijeong to their mom and that maybe that “giant creep” has a charm only Uyeon can see.

First kiss lessons

Meanwhile, a scream echoes through the classroom; it turns out it’s Mirae reacting to Uyeon’s story from the previous night. Uyeon and Gijeong were talking on the phone, and she praised him for holding up under Wu Dol’s weight and casually remarked that he must have a strong waist. Gijeong responds confidently that indeed his core strength is impressive, but all of a sudden the line went completely silent.

Worried they got disconnected, Uyeon had to call his name twice before Gijeong broke the silence with a flustered comment that what Uyeon said was too suggestive. Completely clueless about the innuendo, Uyeon asks what he meant by that, but Gijeong immediately hangs up. Only Mirae gets it and teases Uyeon that soon Gijeong will pounce on her.

In the same moment, at their hideout, Taeseon and Daeoh sit cross-legged while Gijeong pumps weights. They discuss kissing techniques like it’s a matter of life and death. Gijeong gets on his knees begging for Taeson’s wisdom. Taeson, speaking from experience, tells him that the preferences of the other person are what matter the most and begins listing various styles, none of which seem like Uyeon would like.

First Attempt: Failed

Uyeon stops by the café to retrieve her sketchbook and chats briefly with the owner. She confesses that she feels uncertain about her future. The owner encourages her to look into the things she likes, but Uyeon hesitates, not knowing the answer. The owner smiles and reassures her that she’s like a blank canvas; she can draw anything… be anything.

While grabbing her sketchbook, Uyeon glances at the surfboard Gijeong used and admits to herself that she does like something—Gijeong. But if she likes him, does that make him her dream? Unbeknownst to her, Gijeong hears everything. This moment sparks courage in Gijeong to attempt kissing Uyeon. He begins by teasing her about taking responsibility for the suggestive comment because it shook him.

Channeling option 3 a.k.a. Wall Slam: Gijeong leans in and dramatically slams the wall, only for Uyeon to shove him to the floor. Determined, Gijeong lists the other options Taeseon gave him, but Uyeon refuses all of them. He laughs and tells her that when you like someone, kissing comes naturally.

A friend or boyfriend

After the week’s gathering, the Spirit Fingers members stay behind, except for Uyeon, Wu Dol, and Gijeong. Suddenly, the conversation shifts towards romance, placing Geurin and Seonho at the forefront. When Pink Finger asks Geurin if she’s ever felt a spark with Seonho, she can only respond with an awkward laugh, clearly unsure of her feelings. But when Brown Finger asks Seonho the same question, he immediately answers yes, a clear indication of where exactly the two stand emotionally.

Fast forward to the present, Geurin is doing everything she can to avoid Seonho on campus, but he confronts her to clarify her feelings. He asks again if she has ever felt her heart flutter for him. Geurin stays silent, and in that silence, Seonho finds his answer, so he walks away. Geurin chases after him, but before she can reach him, her ex suddenly appears and hugs her from behind.

That evening, she invites Seonho for a meal as a peace offering and admits that her ex’s sudden return has shaken her. But Seonho finally snaps and stands up to leave. Before leaving, Seonho asks Geurin whether the person she’s seeing right now is her friend Seonho or her boyfriend Seonho. He immediately leaves without waiting for an answer.

What falling in love does to a person

Hoping to get to know Gijeong better, Uyeon asks to see him during his work hours. But instead of bringing them closer, the visit only makes her pull away. Watching Gijeong in his element, Uyeon sees a side of him she’s never seen before. He shines brighter than anyone else in that room, and that only amplifies her own insecurities, making her feel dull in comparison to the incredible person that he is. Seeing that, Uyeon has come to a painful realization: that Gijeong’s words that once brought her comfort now feel like daggers.

Meanwhile, Gijeong’s only intention was to show Uyeon his best self, to prove that he is working towards becoming someone who is worthy of her. The contrast is heartbreaking: while one strives to be the best version of themselves for the person they love, the other retreats further, convinced she will never measure up.
