Si-yeol’s Life at Stake in No Tail to Tell Episode 4

No Tail to Tell episode 4 opens with Coach Yong-il bailing Si-yeol out of jail. Hoping to reconcile, he urges Si-yeol to return to the team and help them climb to the third division. Instead, Si-yeol doubles down on his arrogance. He lashes out at the coach and flatly refuses to play in the fourth division.

Soon after, Woo-seok finally calls, assuming that both of them are thriving in their switched lives. The call quickly turns tense when Si-yeol reveals the truth and begs Woo-seok to wish everything back to normal.

Before Woo-seok can respond, his father interrupts, proudly listing their happiness, wealth, and success. Torn between loyalty and temptation, Woo-seok asks for one month before making the wish. Si-yeol, hurt and angry, refuses to wait, but Woo-seok ends the call anyway.

Desperate, Si-yeol tries to fly to London, only to discover that his passport has expired. At that moment, Eun-ho appears. This time, Si-yeol approaches her humbly, apologizing and accepting responsibility for his actions.

Convinced that he has learned his lesson, Eun-ho agrees to restore his life when he wakes up the next morning. Relieved, Si-yeol listens as she offers one final warning: never trust anyone. He promises himself that he will never make a fate-altering wish again.

However, the relief is short-lived. After Eun-ho leaves, the fox hunter Jang Do-cheol kidnaps Si-yeol. Realizing that Do-cheol is using him as bait, Si-yeol attempts to call Woo-seok to lure Eun-ho out.

When Do-cheol and CEO Lee Yoon reveal their plan to kill Eun-ho, Si-yeol refuses to cooperate. They knock him unconscious, triggering a dangerous shift. As Eun-ho begins to lose her powers, she arrives at the scene—only to fall straight into their trap.

Eun-ho Saves Si-yeol’s Life

Eun-ho puts on a cocky front and pretends to be untouchable. Confidently, she provokes Do-cheol into striking what he believes is her with the Sajin Ritual Blade. Instead, he stabs a decoy. She then reveals the truth and takes control of the situation.

It soon becomes clear that Do-cheol is after a fox bead. However, Eun-ho chooses not to punish him, knowing he is already fated to die a miserable death. She turns her attention to Lee Yoon, vowing to make him pay as well. With that, she banishes both men to a remote countryside.

Meanwhile, at Do-cheol’s den, Eun-ho tends to Si-yeol’s wounds and saves his life. Although she claims she does not care whether he lives or dies, she admits the real reason she intervened. If Si-yeol dies while bound by the switched-fate wish, the gods will discover her interference and punish her.

Despite her usual cold demeanor, Eun-ho unexpectedly apologizes for dragging him into her problems, leaving Si-yeol visibly stunned. Moments later, her strength fades. She loses her powers and collapses.

No Tail to Tell episode 4 then shifts into a painful flashback of Geum-ho’s final days. Old, frail, and suffering from dementia, Geum-ho lives a lonely and tragic life. Her family is long gone, and her existence is marked by loss and regret.

Eun-ho visits her, clearly upset and frustrated by the life Geum-ho chose. She angrily declares that she will never love humans or end up like her. However, when Geum-ho finally dies, Eun-ho breaks down in tears, revealing the depth of her sorrow and the love she tried so hard to deny.

Eun-ho Became Human After Saving Si-yeol

Eun-ho wakes up in the present as a human, and rage quickly replaces her shock. She realizes that saving Si-yeol counted as a good deed, which stripped her of her powers and turned her human. Si-yeol, however, shows little concern.

Instead, he focuses on when their switched fates will return to normal. That changes once he understands the situation fully. Without Eun-ho’s powers, he is trapped too. Reluctantly, he starts cooperating.

Determined to fix everything, Si-yeol follows Eun-ho to Pagun’s temple. However, the deity is gone. All that remains is a resident card bearing a human name—Kim Ok-sun. Furious, Eun-ho tries to burn the temple down and ends up getting arrested.

In the chaos of No Tail to Tell episode 4, she suddenly remembers the Sajin Ritual Blade. Si-yeol awkwardly admits that he forgot to take it after bringing her home. Alarmed, Eun-ho orders him to retrieve it, explaining that the blade can sever and defy fate.

Si-yeol gathers his four new friends for backup and heads to Do-cheol’s hideout. Unfortunately, the place is empty, and the dagger is gone. Meanwhile, Woo-seok officially transfers to Londinium FC. Back at the station, the head monk bails Eun-ho out, leaving her disoriented and powerless.

Si-yeol soon returns with a lead. Although someone cleaned the hideout, they left behind a news article about a fox saving a couple on Mount Seoraksan. Convinced the gods are manipulating events, Eun-ho decides to play along.

They hike up the mountain, hoping to recreate the incident and summon the fox. However, they are poorly prepared, forcing other hikers to help them repeatedly.

Eun-ho boasts about living in the mountains, yet she quickly runs out of breath. Eventually, authorities mistake them for a suicidal couple and drag them back down.

Exhausted and starving, they stop for dinner. Eun-ho struggles to hold a spoon, so Si-yeol feeds her. She falls asleep, sharing a quiet moment with him. As he watches her fondly, he snaps out of it and wakes her. Shocked, Eun-ho reveals she just dreamed of him stabbing her with the Sajin Blade.

No Tail to Tell Episode 4 Review

Episode 4 continues to build strong momentum as Eun-ho and Si-yeol face the fallout of her becoming human after saving his life. While Si-yeol is initially focused on fixing their switched fates, he slowly realizes that without Eun-ho’s powers, they are both stuck.

The episode is going well so far, especially as Si-yeol begins to see a more vulnerable, human side of Eun-ho beneath her usual arrogance. As they chase clues left by the gods and fumble through a misguided plan on Mount Seoraksan, the story balances humor with quiet character growth.

Their failure leads to an unexpectedly intimate dinner scene where Eun-ho’s weakness and Si-yeol’s care bring them closer. However, the warmth is undercut by Eun-ho’s disturbing dream of Si-yeol stabbing her, hinting that trust and fate may soon be tested.

Catch the next episode of No Tail to Tell on January 30 via Netflix. New episodes arrives every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST and 8:50 PM PHT.
