Days after Ji Eun’s change into a man is revealed to her family, Min Hyuk, Yoon Jae, and Yu Ri visit Ji Hoon—soon sparking identity slips and jealousy.
In My Girlfriend is the Man! episode 4, Ji Hye brought Ji Hoon to their parents’ house and introduced him as her boyfriend. Unaware it was actually their daughter Ji Eun, her parents warmly welcomed him with a feast.
My Girlfriend is the Man! stars ASTRO’s Yoon San-ha as Park Yoon Jae, OH MY GIRL’s Arin as Kim Ji Eun, Yoo Jung Hoo as Kim Ji Hoon (the male version of Ji Eun), and soloist Chuu as Kang Min Joo, airing every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS2, with episodes also available on Viu.
The story centers on Kim Ji Eun and Park Yoon Jae—an ordinary, happy couple until one morning, Ji Eun wakes up as a handsome man, shocking both her boyfriend and her older sister, Kim Ji Hye.

My Girlfriend is the Man! Episode 4 Recap: Ji Eun’s family finds out she turned into a man
Just as the Kim family was enjoying their meal, their mom nearly slipped while reaching for the tea set Ji Eun had gifted her. Ji Eun, still in her male form as Ji Hoon, quickly rushed to catch her and, in the heat of the moment, scolded their parents—forgetting he was supposed to be Ji Hoon, not Ji Eun.
Afterward, Ji Eun and her mom had a heartfelt conversation. Her mom comforted her with gentle words instead of anger, understanding how confusing and frustrating it must feel—because she had experienced it herself.
Meanwhile, Ji Hye stepped out with their dad, where he casually expressed his long-time wish to have a son. Elsewhere, Yoon Jae also tried to make amends with his mom for coming home drunk last time.

Yoon Jae, Min Hyuk and Yu Ri came over to Ji Hoon’s house
Min Hyuk and Yoon Jae came over to Ji Hoon’s house, prompting him to quickly swap out Ji Eun’s things for more masculine items in preparation. As soon as they arrived, Min Hyuk eagerly hugged Ji Hoon, while Yoon Jae brushed him off.
While they were hanging out, Yu Ri showed up unexpectedly. During introductions, Ji Hoon accidentally referred to Yoon Jae as his “boyfriend,” but Yu Ri swiftly covered for him by joking that she’s his “girlfriend”—as in a female friend.
As the night went on, a tipsy Min Hyuk began clinging to Ji Hoon, which clearly irritated Yoon Jae. In a jealous outburst, he angrily squeezed a ketchup bottle and accidentally splattered it onto Ji Hoon’s clothes.
Flustered, Ji Hoon rushed off to change while Yu Ri headed to the restroom. Looking for tissue, she accidentally walked in on Ji Hoon half-naked, leaving her blushing and stunned. Thinking she was just tipsy, Ji Hoon held her face to check on her—but just then, Yoon Jae walked in and witnessed the scene, making things awkward between them.
As the night ended, Yu Ri stayed behind while Yoon Jae went home, consumed by jealous thoughts of her getting too close to Ji Hoon.

Kim Ji Hye finally saw her first love again; Yu Ri blushing over Ji Hoon
Kim Ji Hye attended her colleague’s father’s funeral and was outside smoking when Hong Young Seok approached, asking for a lighter. It was an unexpected reunion—he was her first love from high school.
Meanwhile, Ji Hoon had always treated Yu Ri kindly and sweetly, making her blush around him. Ji Hye noticed this and quickly warned her not to fall for him—after all, she’s her friend, Kim Ji Eun.
Yoon Jae Falls Ill
Ji Hoon brought food for Yoon Jae, but upon seeing him with Min Joo, he hid the meals and pretended he was just passing by. However, Yoon Jae quickly ran after him and happily ate the food Ji Hoon had prepared.
Yoon Jae and Min Joo’s presentation was a success, so they went out for drinks to celebrate. However, Yoon Jae suddenly felt unwell and collapsed. Min Joo rushed him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute indigestion.
Ji Hoon and Yoon Jae’s parents quickly arrived, but a nurse mistakenly assumed Min Joo was Yoon Jae’s girlfriend. Min Joo didn’t correct her, which frustrated Ji Hoon.
When confronted, she admitted to lying—but insisted it wasn’t entirely untrue, as she believed she would become his girlfriend someday. Angered, Ji Hoon snapped and declared that he’s actually Yoon Jae’s girlfriend, leaving everyone stunned and in disbelief.
