My Girlfriend is the Man! Episode 10 Recap: Ji Eun returns; Ji Hoon vanishes

Ji Hoon awakens as Ji Eun and returns as a woman, startling Min Joo and Yoon Jae, who were deep in conversation. Yoon Jae rushes to her side, but Min Joo stops him, questioning Ji Hoon’s sudden disappearance just as Ji Eun reappears.

Despite Min Joo’s suspicions, Ji Eun declares that what matters most is that Kim Ji Eun—Park Yoon Jae’s girlfriend—has come back. She expresses how much she missed Yoon Jae and apologizes for making him wait.

The following day, the group travels back to Seoul, though Ji Eun and Yoon Jae linger for a few moments longer. Ji Eun’s grandmother gently reminds her,

If you ever change back into a man again, don’t resent yourself. Others won’t accept you if you can’t love yourself first.

When Ji Eun finally returns home, she is met by Min Joo, who is still searching for Ji Hoon. Ji Eun clears the matter by saying Ji Hoon is her cousin and that he won’t be coming back.

Yoon Jae and Ji Eun went on a date after a long time. That night, Ji Eun opens up, admitting that while living as Ji Hoon, she did things she couldn’t do as herself—including joining a writing competition.

When I realized I couldn’t do anything else, the dream I once set aside came back to me,

she says, encouraging Yoon Jae to chase his own dream of studying space—even if it takes him to the U.S.

She also confesses that she hopes she won’t turn back into Ji Hoon again, but Yoon Jae gently admits he’ll miss Ji Hoon from time to time, even sharing how much he admired him. Both Ji Eun and Ji Hoon, in their own ways, urge Yoon Jae to seize the opportunity at Corning University.

Later, Yoon Jae gives Ji Eun the star necklace he had once planned to give her during their Chuncheon trip—just before all these transformations happened.

Heartbroken, Ji Hye drinks heavily and ends up with Min Joo, who is also reeling from rejection. The two cry together, and in her drunken state, Ji Hye blurts out the truth—that Ji Eun and Ji Hoon are the same person—and even reveals that the women in their family transform into men, though fortunately not her.
