In Your Radiant Season episode 8, which aired on March 20, follows Ha-ran as she wins the Fashion Award and navigates surprises from Chan, Eun-chan, and You-gyum. Meanwhile, Mr. Park and Na-na share playful moments, Ha-young faces unexpected attention, and sudden challenges test the bonds between them.

In Your Radiant Season Episode 8 Recap: New Beginnings

In Your Radiant Season episode 8 opens with Chan and Ha-ran sharing a kiss. Ha-ran asks why he said he was being greedy, and Chan explains that he wants to focus on the present rather than dwell on the past. While walking, they meet Mr. Park, who reveals he already knows about their relationship. Chan drops Ha-ran at home, and both reflect on his words, while Na-na returns wearing mismatched shoes, catching Ha-young’s attention.

The next day at work, Ha-young notices Tae-suk looks untidy, and gossip spreads about a photo of him with a woman, which turns out to be a business meeting. This leaves Ha-young questioning her feelings toward him. Meanwhile, Ha-ran visits Chan and his grandmother, showing her mother’s broken plate, and Seon offers to repair it. Chan decides to take Ha-ran’s advice and return the watch to his father.

At his father’s office, Chan waits while a meeting runs late and notices that his father kept two drawings of him with his mother. A colleague mentions that his father attends every movie released by Chan’s animation company. Outside, Ha-ran, worried about him, hugs Chan and promises to be there whenever he needs her. Chan’s father drives up, thanks him for returning and fixing the watch, and they part with a smile.

Ha-ran’s Triumph and a Thoughtful Gesture

That evening, Chan gives Ha-ran a new pen engraved with her name. He hides its origin, claiming he found it mixed up with his own belongings. Ha-ran hesitates, saying she no longer needs it since she already has the pens he gave her. Smiling, Chan draws an iridescent cloud on the pen and tells her to see it as a gift for the present, not a reminder of the past. Moments later, Ha-ran receives a call announcing she has won the Best Designer Award at the Fashion Awards, filling her with excitement and pride.

Meanwhile, at a quiet cafe, Mr. Park notices Na-na sitting alone on a bench despite the late hour. She explains she only wanted a cup of coffee and lost track of time. He invites her inside, and she soon drifts off, resting her head on the table.

Memories Rekindled in In Your Radiant Season Episode 8

Elsewhere, Ha-dam runs into You-gyum’s mother at the grocery store. Her warm hug triggers memories of Ha-dam’s own mother, causing her to cry. The older woman comforts her and insists she join them for a meal. Later, Ha-dam notices You-gyum’s room adorned with pictures of the two of them together. She reflects on their shared moments and realizes how deeply he understands her. When You-gyum returns home, he initially thinks she is a hallucination, but they soon embrace, cry, apologize, and reconcile.

Back at home, Mr. Park discovers an old photograph of himself and Na-na from their younger days and sends it to her. Inspired, Na-na suggests they go eat teokkbeokki that evening, just like old times, and he happily agrees. Meanwhile, in the office, Tae-suk reminds Ha-young—who has been daydreaming about herself and him—that they must meet someone later that evening regarding the biosilk she requested.

Ha-ran Saw Hyeaok-chan’s Sister in In Your Radiant Season Episode 8

Ha-ran attends the award show, only to discover that Kang Eun-chan has also won the same accolade. A flashback reveals that Eun-chan once asked Ha-ran to join her for a birthday lunch with her brother because she had a sudden meeting. That’s how Ha-ran met Hyeok-chan. They grew close over time, and he doted on her—until he moved to the US. The memory shifts to Ha-ran and Chan discussing her pen, now seen entirely from her perspective.

Back at the present, Eun-chan asks Ha-ran about her life. Ha-ran mentions Hyeok-chan’s hand injury and hospitalization, though she has no idea about the real events. Meanwhile, Chan accompanies Mr. Park to the hospital, where he catches a fleeting glimpse of Su-ji, working as a visiting faculty member. He doubts it’s her at first, but later, Su-ji recognizes him.

Har-ran’s Two Pens

Mr. Park and Na-na enjoy their planned teokkbeokki outing, with Na-na delighting in every bite. Afterward, Park confronts her, recalling how she acted similarly before planning to leave for France. He demands to know where she intends to go this time.

In a separate thread, Tae-suk and Ha-young meet Tae-suk’s contact, Mr. Chae, who can connect them with a bio startup for the biosilk Ha-young wants. Charmed by Ha-young, Mr. Chae asks her out. Tae-suk clarifies that this is not his concern, which annoys Ha-young, though she accepts the offer.

Ha-dam, reunited with You-gyum, bids his parents farewell and declares that they will only face happy times. Their joy is cut short when You-gyum suddenly loses feeling in his foot, introducing a new worry.

After the ceremony, Ha-ran finds Chan waiting outside with flowers. He takes her on a city tour, revisiting every place she had explored alone during his absence. Meanwhile, Ha-young delivers a parcel to Tae-suk, only to find him pale and leaning on her shoulder, clearly unwell.

At home, Ha-ran receives a troubling call. She rushes to Chan, confronting him with two pens engraved with her name. The restaurant had found hers and returned it. Now, she demands an explanation.
