IDOL I Episode 10 Recap: Do Ra-ik Returns to His House

Do Ra-ik confesses that he likes Maeng Se-na, but she admits she feels confused and doesn’t know how to respond. So, he tells her he’ll wait until she sorts out her feelings. The next morning, Ra-ik is gone, leaving her a letter: “Thanks to you, I have the courage to face my reality. I want to get my life back on track, so I can stand before you and myself without shame.” He adds that whatever choice Se-na makes, he’ll be there, feelings unchanged.

Thank you for helping me get back on my feet when I was at my lowest. Sincerely

When Ra-ik returns home, he struggles to stay in the room where his friend was murdered. Still, he opens the curtains and starts cleaning, determined to move forward. Meanwhile, Se-na wrestles with her emotions, questioning whether she likes him romantically.

News Spreads About Maeng Se-na in IDOL I Episode 10

Later that night, Ra-ik and Se-na can’t stay apart. Se-na brings back the cap Ra-ik left behind, and he ends up near her house. They meet in the parking lot, and when Se-na asks if he’s still waiting, he says he is. They both smile, hearts fluttering.

The next morning, an article spreads of them living together. Se-na tells Ra-ik to stay home while she handles it, but he admits he feels helpless. He realizes she’s managing everything while he can’t do anything to help.

Maeng Se-na then explains to her boss, “Ra-ik’s music helped me survive after my parents died. When his case happened, I wanted to see if he could handle it, and if not, I wanted to be the one to keep him from falling apart.”

However, another article spreads false claims that Se-na is the killer’s daughter, causing Gold Boys’ fans to gather and rally outside their office.

Ra-Ik Protects Se-Na from the Crowd

Do Ra-ik tries to go to Maeng Se-na, but Chung-jae stops him. He warns that Ra-ik will only make things worse. Chung-jae explains that Se-na has worked hard to overcome her past and stand on her own, and now everything is at risk because of Ra-ik. Even so, Ra-ik insists on going. He says he wants to protect her and won’t leave her alone, at least this time.

Meanwhile, Se-na faces the crowd on her own. She tells them to leave and handles the situation calmly and professionally. However, when a fan shouts “killer’s daughter” and throws a Gold Boys lightstick at her, Ra-ik steps in to shield her. His action only sends the crowd into a frenzy.

After escaping the crowd, Se-na says she hates running away. Ra-ik reassures her that he doesn’t care what others think. “Standing by and watching you get hurt is avoiding and running away to me,” he tells her, asking her to spend one day focusing only on herself while he takes care of everything.

Maeng Se-na Confesses She Likes Everything About Do Ra-ik in IDOL I Episode 10

Ra-ik brings Maeng Se-na to a guesthouse for the night to keep her safe. They both apologize—Ra-ik for feeling responsible that people discovered her father’s identity, and Se-na for running away and avoiding her emotions.

Se-na admits that she has always kept people at a distance. She pretends to be confident and sharp, even when she isn’t. Se-na explains that she became a lawyer to clear her father’s name. She also confesses that she kept delaying the retrial. Maeng Se-na told herself it needed to be perfect, but in truth, she was scared of being called a murderer’s daughter again. She admits she was hiding from reality.

Ra-ik comforts her and says she endured everything just to survive. He tells her that living through the fear is how she managed to keep going. His words touch her deeply, and she breaks down in tears. Later, Ra-ik falls asleep while Se-na quietly watches over him. When he wakes up, he kisses her.

The next morning, Se-na tells Ra-ik that whether he’s on stage or standing right in front of her, he’s still the same Do Ra-ik she admires. She then confesses that she likes him—everything about him, just as he is. It’s the first time she fully says how she feels.

Do Ra-ik Might Know Who Else Entered His House That Night

The confession is cut short when Se-na’s boss calls with urgent news. Do Ra-ik has been officially indicted and charged, forcing them to act at once. Ra-ik and Se-na stay overnight at the office and search for any evidence they can use.

While listening to the recorded call between Woo-seong and CEO Geum, they hear a keypad sound at the very end. It suggests that someone else may have entered Ra-ik’s house on the night of the crime. Forensic reports on Jae-hee’s car accident also raise doubts that it was a suicide.

When Se-na asks where Ra-ik was during the accident, he admits he followed her after she drank. He says he missed her and wanted to see her before going home. Ra-ik then asks why she went to the piano, and Se-na confesses that she missed him too and couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Later, while reviewing the evidence inventory, they find the other piece of Ra-ik’s diamond piercing inside his safe. Ra-ik says he may now know who entered his house that night. Meanwhile, Jae-hee wakes up from his coma, ending the episode on a tense note.
