The tables turn in episode 10 of Dynamite Kiss as Darim processes Jihyeok’s confession while In-ae settles into her new home for the time being.
Entitled “The Reason I Like You,” Dynamite Kiss episode 10 makes up for the last few angsty episodes with a whole lot of comedy as In-ae moves in with Myungsun, Darim, and (sort of) Seonu. Not one to give up without a fight, Jihyeok uses the new living situation as an excuse to be around Darim and enumerate his reasons for falling in love with her.

The wrong impression
Before Darim loses herself in the kiss, she remembers that Jihyeok is engaged to Hayeong and pushes him away. Jihyeok chases after her. He tells her that his relationship with Hayeong was forced on them by their parents and that Darim is the one he truly likes. She finds this hard to believe and walks off.
The next day, Darim realizes that she might have misunderstood what she saw through the window, as Jihyeok takes a rather close stance even when berating the members of the Mother TF team. Still, she can’t understand why Jihyeok would like someone like her.
Jihyeok and Darim go on another shopping trip to buy giveaways for the photography exhibition. With a poker face, Jihyeok starts to randomly rattle off reasons why he likes Darim, only confusing her even more.
Moving day
Though Jihyeok is at first skeptical about his mom moving in with a friend instead of with him, he is overjoyed that that friend turns out to be his crush’s mom. He helps In-ae move in, to Seonu’s surprise and distaste.
Jihyeok and Seonu try to one up each other at every turn. When Jihyeok ends up washing the dishes, he asks Darim to move his bangs out of his eyes, and uses the opportunity to tell her another reason he likes her – because she’s pretty. In-ae watches them flirt approvingly.
Darim cannot get rid of Jihyeok as he insists on helping out with every aspect of the house. He only leaves when he gets a call from a lovestruck Gwangmin, who is asking for advice about whether to pursue Goeun. Jihyeok expresses his support as long as the “Go” Gwangmin loves is not “Go Darim.”
Family outing
Myungsun shows Darim’s childhood photos to In-ae and Jihyeok. In-ae regretfully says that she wishes she had taken Jihyeok on outings like Darim’s dad did, but her constant hospitalization made it difficult for her to do so. Wanting to comfort In-ae and Jihyeok, Darim suggests that they all go out that day.
Everyone goes out to the family park, including Seonu and Jun. Inevitably, Jihyeok and Seonu get into a spat about who gets to buy everyone drinks. They decide to play badminton for the chance to do so. Seonu, a former badminton athlete, wins the game, while Jihyeok sulks under a tree.
Evil plan revealed
In-ae told her family that she’s going to Switzerland to improve her health. As both families discuss the future of Hayeong and Jihyeok’s marriage, Hayeong’s family expresses their concern over Jihyeok having a low position in the company. Changho promises that Jihyeok will be promoted to vice president soon.
This triggers the alarm bells in Jihye’s mind. She finally goes to Taeyeong to ask him about his intentions. Taeyeong is apparently a shareholder at Natural Bebe. He wants to gain enough shares to be able to vote out Changho as chairman, and so he needs Jihye to combine her shares with his as well as turn the other shareholders against her father. Then, he’ll appoint her as CEO as long as she gives him a large enough dividend.
Motherly advice
Darim has a lovely talk with In-ae. In-ae is pleased to see Jihyeok be childlike and free for the first time in a long time, as he had to grow up quickly due to his troubled childhood. In-ae praises Darim’s bright energy, which she says is visible to people who have been hurt by love, like Jihyeok and herself.
Later that night, Darim asks Myungsun how her father confessed his feelings. Myungsun says he never told her outright, but rather, he just kept showing up whenever she was in trouble. As Darim goes over to Jihyeok, who has fallen asleep on their couch, she remembers the countless times that he saved her, finally realizing that his feelings for her are sincere and real.
A greener future we draw together
The photography exhibition opens at the Taeyu Art Hall. Jihyeok walks around with Hayeong, showing off their and their families’ partnership. He makes it a point to tell Darim that it’s just a business relationship, but she is visibly bothered – even jealous – at their closeness.
The Mother TF team takes care of the children while their parents enjoy the exhibition. A child accidentally spills water on Jihyeok’s suit, and he goes off to change. He finds a masked man dousing Hayeong’s office in gasoline. Jihyeok tries to stop the man, who was hired by Taeyeong presumably to sabotage the exhibition, but he is overpowered and left unconscious in the burning office.
As the fire spreads, the Mother TF team facilitates a safe evacuation for all the guests. Darim notices that Jihyeok is nowhere to be found. Knowing that it’s now her turn to save him, she rushes back into the building and carries Jihyeok to safety. When he comes to, Jihyeok tells Darim there is no particular reason why he likes her; he just likes her for who she is. He tells her he loves her and she kisses him.
Dynamite Kiss Episode 10 Thoughts and What to Expect Next
In-ae was right. Seeing Jihyeok act like a kid with a crush was such a delight in this episode of Dynamite Kiss. After feeling sorry for him for so long, it’s rewarding to see him so ecstatic just to be around Darim without any guilt weighing him down. When Darim finally kisses him back, it feels like a win that’s been a long time coming.
The next episode of Dynamite Kiss has a lot to look forward to as Jihyeok and Darim officially begin their secret office romance. However, all is not well since Jihye seems to be up to something that incites a very public outcry against Darim and jeopardizes her place at Natural Bebe.
