Just when things seemed steady, Ji-Yeong’s group was thrown off after realizing their gochugaru, or chili powder, had gone missing. Without it, Ji-Yeong quickly improvised and transformed her dish into a beef bourguignon, a heartfelt creation she tied to her late mother.
Meanwhile, Ya Feixiu shocked everyone when she revealed her dish, kung pao chicken. She introduced a sauce made from chili powder. Suspicious, Ji-Yeong asked to taste it and confirmed her fear that their missing ingredient had been used. Ya Feixiu claimed she obtained it fairly through a trade with Prince Je-San.
