Hallyu staples IU and Park Bo-gum pair up in the upcoming Korean drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines!
South Korean superstars IU and Park Bo-gum are set to star in this much-anticipated K-drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines. The drama will be available to watch on the streaming platform Netflix.
On March 7, the drama will take viewers on a dazzling journey through the four seasons of life. The recently revealed poster and date announcement trailer provide a glimpse into this drama series, which chronicles the adventures of Ae-sun, “the remarkable rebel,” and Gwan-sik, called “unyielding iron,” across four seasons set on the famous Jeju Island.

Created by director Kim Won-suk and screenwriter Lim Sang-choon, the series features a great cast including IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, and more.
The date announcement poster shows Ae-sun, portrayed by IU of Hotel del Luna fame, and Gwan-sik, played by Park Bo-gum, known for his roles in Reply 1988 and Encounter, holding hands in a vibrant flower field. Both in school uniforms and tracksuits, they showcase a refreshing aura that compares to spring, giving a clue of the beginning of their journeys together. When looking closer, Ae-sun smiles confidently, and Gwan-sik appears stiff and nervous, offering a peek of their dynamic.
The trailer shows lively, refreshing music and the beauty of Jeju Island, complete with canola fields, persimmon trees, and the sea. Like any young couple, the two leads engage in moments of banter, showcasing their undeniable chemistry. Meanwhile, the drama promises to bring warmth with its genuine and relatable stories that mirror aspects of life throughout the season.
