Shin Eun-soo as Park Se-ri

Love Untangled’s female protagonist, Shin Eun-soo, portrayed the role of Park Se-ri. She’s a high school student who thinks her curly hair is the reason she always fails to confess her love. Because of this, she hopes to have it straightened before confessing to Kim Hyeon (played by Cha Woo-min). But before that happens, she unknowingly starts to like the transferee, Han Yu-seok—the same guy she saved from drowning.

Apart from Eun-soo’s bubbly portrayal of Park Se-ri, she also starred in other dramas. One of these is Light Shop (2024), alongside veteran actor Ju Ji-hoon. She also brought Yun Chung-ah to life in Twinkling Watermelon (2023). Eun-soo also appeared in Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020), Taste of Horror (2023), Magic School (2017), Summer Strike (2022), and A Model Family (2022).

Gong Myung as Han Yu-seok

Following the footsteps of Our Beloved Summer’s Choi Woong and When Life Gives You Tangerines’ Yang Gwan-sik, Han Yu-seok—played by Gong Myung—is Love Untangled’s living green flag. Han Yu-seok was a transferee in Se-ri’s school. He isn’t unfamiliar with Se-ri’s existence since she once helped him when he was drowning. Gong Myung’s character in this drama comes across as charming, gentle, and totally a dream guy.

Apart from being Se-ri’s true love, Gong Myung was also loved in his role in Way Back Love (2025) as Kim Ram-u, Be Melodramatic (2019) as Chu Jae-hoon, and Second Shot at Love (2025) as Seo Ui-jun. In addition, being an actor didn’t stop Gong Myung from being a singer as well.

Other dramas of his include Mercy for None (2025), Lovers of the Red Sky (2021), Feel Good to Die (2018), and Revolutionary Love (2017).

Cha Woo-min as Kim Hyeon

Second lead syndrome? The drama had it as well with Kim Hyeon, portrayed by Cha Woo-min. Although Kim Hyeon appeared to be the “almost” of this drama, he truly captured the hearts of the viewers. With his appeal and charm, he’s definitely a character to remember.

Cha Woo-min made his acting debut in 2021, taking a lead role in a Boys’ Love series called The Tasty Florida. Woo-min’s role in this series was fluffy and the typical heartthrob you’ll easily like. He acted alongside Yu Hwan, who became his on-screen partner for the series.

His other works include Weak Hero Class 1 (2022), Night Has Come (2023), Study Group (2025), Melo Movie (2025), Buried Hearts (2025), and Brave Citizen (2023).

Yoon Sang-hyeon as Baek Seong-rae

Baek Seong-rae is one of Se-ri’s friends and also her deskmate in the drama. Yoon Sang-hyeon’s character always helps Se-ri with her confessions, proving how reliable and supportive he is as a friend. He also adds humor and laughter, bringing more comedic scenes to the show.

Some of his series include Doctor Slump (2024), Good Partner (2024), Family by Choice (2024), and Buried Hearts (2025). Yoon Sang-hyeon also appears in the TV show Let’s Play Soccer Season 4 as a regular member.

Some of Kang Mi-na’s works include Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter (2018), Hotel del Luna (2019), Summer Guys (2021), and Moonshine (2021). Aside from being an actress, Kang Mi-na is also active as a singer and dancer on stage.

Choi Gyu-ri as Ma Sol-ji

One of Se-ri’s friends who helped her confess her love. Her series include Behind Every Star (2022) and Marry My Husband (2024).

Lee So-e as Bang Ha-yeong

Another of Se-ri’s friends, who shows support and uplifts her confidence. Lee So-e often had guest roles, such as in Snowdrop (ep. 9, 2021) and The Glory (ep. 4, 2022). She also starred in Motel California (2025) and Aema (2025) in supporting roles.

Ryu Seung-soo as Se-ri’s father

In the film, Se-ri was shown to be closer to her dad rather than her mom. She even shared a secret comic place with him.

Hong Eun-hee as Yu-seok’s mother

The owner of the salon where Se-ri had her hair straightened. Eun-hee’s character is pitiful as she was a victim of abuse.

Love Untangled isn’t just a movie that gives you the tingling feels of butterflies in your stomach or the slow motion when you see your crush. It also fills you with a star-studded cast that adds multiple layers to the story.
