T-Ara’s Jiyeon looks to blaze a trail like no other in her newest film, Woman of Fire!
Jiyeon is returning to the big screen with Woman of Fire.
The new Korean film tells the story of an esteemed actress whose life and career change in an instant. She awakes one day to no ordinary hangover as she finds out her roommate has been murdered. This puts her into a tailspin and derails her planned comeback in the acting industry. Now, she seeks to piece together the answers to this mystery and come to terms with her roommate’s death.
Opposite Jiyeon will be Jong Ji Eun. a former member of the girl group Secret. Ji Eun’s role will be that of a superfan who greatly admires Jiyeon’s character.
Undoubtedly, she will play a significant role once this mystery is unraveled. This marks Ji Eun’s film debut. It would be interesting to see if she can pull off a transition from artist to actress as successfully as Jiyeon has. Meanwhile, for Jiyeon herself, “Woman of Fire” will be her most recent output following last year’s Gangnam Zombie.

Before making a name for herself as an actress, Jiyeon was best known as a member of T-Ara. The group’s disco-inspired songs propelled them to immense popularity, chief among them “Roly Poly,” which was a bona fide hit during the early 2010s. She’s since furthered her career in the music world as a soloist, with her most recent release being “Take A Hike” back in 2019.
Jiyeon has carved quite a career for herself as an actress. Admirably, she has juggled it exceedingly well alongside her musical endeavors. She has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, such as the idol-themed drama Imitation and the critically acclaimed series Triangle.
As Jiyeon puts her best foot forward in Woman of Fire, the upcoming film will definitely be another notch on her belt!
