The GENIE TV original drama IDOL I features Choi Soo-young as a lawyer who is also a devoted fan, while Kim Jae-yeong plays an idol accused of murder. Together, they join forces to prove his innocence. It premieres on December 22, airs every Monday and Tuesday, and will be available on Rakuten Viki and Netflix in selected countries.

IDOL I Plot
Maeng Se-na is an elite lawyer known as the “lawyer for villains” for taking on high-profile cases others avoid. Behind her cold, professional exterior, she secretly remains an 11-year fan of Gold Boys. When Do Ra-ik, the group’s main visual and vocalist, faces a sudden murder accusation, Se-na hides her fangirl identity and chooses to defend him. She sets out to prove his innocence.
Meanwhile, Ra-ik grapples with the pressures of fame. Performing no longer excites him, and the love of fans overwhelms him. Once a beloved star, he now confronts sudden changes that force him to face his own hidden darkness.
As they uncover the truth together, their bond slowly deepens. Their journey blurs the lines between justice, devotion, doubt, and romance. The story delivers an emotional and gripping tale of secrets, trust, and love.
