Whale Store XOXO episode 4 aired on July 16, 2025, highlights how Wan and Maewnam gradually express and embrace their feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Tonnam and Chompu continue to struggle with their own relationship.
Whale Store XOXO is led by the charming sapphic couples Milk Pansa Vosbein as Wan, Love Pattranite Limpatiyakorn as Maewnam, June Wanwimol Jaenasavamethee as Tonnam, and Mewnich Nannaphas Loetnamchoetsakun as Chompu.
The series tells the story of Wan and Maewnam. After losing her father, Wan became unemployed and ended up inheriting his grocery store. There, she met Maewnam, a hardworking university professor who also runs errands for people in their community.
Maewnam manages her “Maewnam’s Services” business in the morning and teaches in the evening. She has always been supportive of Wan throughout her stay at the grocery store. But when the truth about Maewnam’s family comes to light, it sparks a conflict with Wan.

Wan and Maewnam’s Push-and-Pull Relationship in Whale Store XOXO Episode 4
The episode opens with Wan kissing Maewnam to test whether she truly has feelings for Maewnam. But when the realization hits, Wan pretends to be drunk and falls asleep.
Maewnam tries to wake Wan but gets no response. She softly whispers if Wan realized what just happened. As Maewnam decides to leave, Wan suddenly wakes up, trying to process the moment.
The next morning, Wan plans to clean up the place where she drank with the neighbors. When she opens the store, she finds Maewnam already cleaning. Maewnam teasingly comments that she didn’t think Wan would wake up early since she drank a lot.
Wan brushes it off, saying that she usually wakes up early even when drunk—avoiding any mention of the previous night. While cleaning together, Wan gathers the courage to confess to Maewnam that she wasn’t really drunk. However, when she turns around, Maewnam is already too far to hear her.
Wan keeps getting flashbacks of the kiss, and she’s constantly startled by Maewnam’s sudden presence.
Before leaving the store, Maewnam tells Wan she knows she wasn’t really asleep that night. She playfully adds that they’ll talk more in the evening when she returns.

The New Employee is Wan’s Ex-Lover?
While Tonnam and Chompu are having a moment in the restroom, a new girl appears. She’s eloquent, intimidating, and has walls built high.
Later, Wan talks to Noey on the phone, confessing that she kissed Maewnam but still feels confused about her feelings. Noey asks if she’s scared because she’s not over her ex (who turns out to be the new employee at the university where Maewnam works). Wan wonders if what’s happening between her and Maewnam is just a fling or if things are moving too fast.
Noey reassures her, saying she’s not stupid for feeling that way. Love is complicated, and Wan should take time to figure out her heart. Noey advises her to stop asking if “this is real” and start asking if Maewnam is the one.
Meanwhile, the new girl turns out to be Tonnam and Chompu’s co-professor. She’s cold and rough with them but strangely friendly around Maewnam. Her name is Mahnmook, and her demeanor seems to shift depending on who she’s talking to.
Maewnam and Wan Spend Songkran Together
Wan and Maewnam still avoid talking about the night Wan pretended to be drunk. Instead, Maewnam asks if Wan’s store is open during Songkran.
They chat about their usual Songkran plans—Wan usually keeps her store open, while Maewnam spends her time grading exams and doing school work.
Maewnam admits she’s exhausted from balancing everything in her life, so Wan suggests she work from the store to ease the load.
When Songkran arrives, Maewnam invites Wan to join the neighborhood water play. They splash water and giggle together, but the mood shifts when two men try to smear powder on Maewnam’s face. Wan gets visibly irritated, and they decide to head home after that.

Chompu Introduces Tonnam to Her Mom—as a Roommate
Tonnam and Chompu now live together in a condo and try to spend more time as a couple. But just as they’re about to have an intimate moment, Chompu’s mother suddenly shows up.
Tonnam hides, and she sneaks out barefoot. The scene becomes tense and painful.
When Tonnam returns, Chompu apologizes, saying she didn’t know her mom would come. Unfortunately, Chompu’s mother returns again just seconds later. This time, Chompu doesn’t let Tonnam hide, so her mom sees her.
Tonnam expects Chompu to finally introduce her properly—but instead, Chompu introduces her as just a roommate. Tonnam’s face says it all: disappointment and heartbreak.
Wan and Maewnam Finally Talk About Their Feelings
Maewnam once again helps Wan with her personal struggles. Wan hasn’t seen her father figure since managing the store and doesn’t understand why.
Maewnam arranges for them to meet. Though the man doesn’t speak, he accepts the garland Wan offers as a silent sign of reconciliation.
Later, Wan and Maewnam sit side by side and finally talk about the night Wan pretended to be drunk.
Maewnam admits that when she’s overwhelmed, just looking at Wan makes everything easier. But she also says she’s unsure about Wan’s true feelings.
Wan confesses she wasn’t drunk at all. She was just thinking about whether she truly likes Maewnam. Then, looking into each other’s eyes, Wan admits: “I like you.”
When Maewnam asks if that means they’re together now, Wan replies that they’re not—she wants to take things slow.
