Kelvin drowns himself in alcohol, overwhelmed with regret in Yesterday episode 7 as everyone blames him for what happened to Vier.

Yesterday episode 7, aired on March 16, Vier becomes the main suspect in Lalit’s murder, while Kelvin tries to help clear his name. However, it is later revealed that the police are working with Ken to frame Vier, including staging a suicide attempt that leaves him hospitalized. As blame falls on him from all sides, Kelvin is left overwhelmed with regret as he witnesses the consequences of the conflict unfold.

Yesterday Episode 7 Recap: Vier Becomes a Murder Suspect

Vier gets arrested as the main suspect in Lalit’s murder, and Police Officer Tao presents the evidence against him. The police find a missing button belonging to Vier buried with Lalit’s body, along with his DNA, but Vier insists he lost it during his kidnapping. They also present Lalit’s watch with his DNA on it, which deepens the suspicion.

However, Vier pushes back and questions the evidence. He points out that he was still messaging Lalit, not knowing it was actually Kelvin using thae phone. He then shares Kelvin’s confession about assaulting Lalit before he disappeared. Despite this, Vier believes Kelvin is not the killer and instead suspects that the real culprit may be the one who kidnapped him and is now framing him.

Meanwhile, the episode reveals that the police are secretly working with Ken to frame Vier and even plan to drag Kelvin into the case. At the same time, Lavid and Lalin’s father keep a close watch on them, making sure they stay out of Lalit’s case.

Lalin and Lavid Confront Kelvin Over Lalit’s Death

Lalin and Lavid confront Kelvin, and Lavid immediately punches him, believing he killed their brother Lalit. However, Lalin steps in to calm him down and asks Kelvin directly about his involvement. Kelvin explains that Lalit discovered his manipulation of Vier, which led him to knock Lalit out and lock him up. At the same time, Vier got kidnapped and Lalit disappeared, throwing everything into chaos. He claims he thought Lalit had returned to Malaysia, so he did not search for him, and insists he did not kill him.

Meanwhile, Lavid questions Kelvin for pretending to be Lalit and messaging Vier through his phone. Kelvin admits he only wanted to hide the truth from Vier. He also explains that he reported Vier at the airport for forging travel documents because he wanted him to stay. However, he later found out that the police were building a murder case against him.

Afterward, Lalin finds the situation suspicious and suggests that someone else may be behind everything, possibly even the police. At the same time, Kelvin connects the kidnapping and Lalit’s death, believing the same group is responsible. He adds that someone in that group holds a grudge against both him and Vier. Hearing this, Lalin names Ken, and Kelvin agrees, suspecting that Ken is seeking revenge.

Kelvin Searches for Vier’s Kidnapper

Police Officer Tao arrives at Kelvin’s house with a search warrant, but since Kelvin is out meeting mafia leader Ram, Lalin lets them in. Meanwhile, Kelvin meets Ram and offers a business deal in exchange for Sei, one of Ram’s men who previously kidnapped Vier, to testify in Lalit’s case. Ram agrees and lets him talk to Sei.

However, after Kelvin leaves, Ram contacts Ken and reassures him that Sei will not betray them. Ken then calls Tao, who promises to handle Vier and suggests eliminating Sei if needed. Soon after, Tao sedates Vier and stages a hanging in his cell.

At the same time, Kelvin negotiates with Sei and offers to help him escape from Ram and Ken. Suddenly, gunfire breaks out, forcing them to flee until Chao—Kelvin’s former secretary—steps in to help. Chao reveals that Lalin hired him to work under Ken and spy on him.

Meanwhile, the police make it look like Vier attempted suicide. He ends up in the hospital, barely breathing.

Kelvin Feels Deep Regret in Yesterday Episode 7

Kelvin brings Sei to the police station and claims that Sei is the one who murdered Lalit, unaware that Vier has already been rushed to the hospital. When Kelvin tries to go and check on Vier, Nana stops him and tells him that Vier is already gone. Kelvin refuses to believe her.

However, the truth is that Vier is still alive, barely conscious, and the medical team, along with everyone else, is waiting for his body to respond. Mr. Watt confronts Kelvin and blames him for everything his son has been through.

Afterward, Kelvin drowns himself in alcohol at home, overwhelmed by guilt and regret. Meanwhile, after Sei finishes the interrogation, one of Ram’s men picks him up and kills him on the way.

Yesterday Episode 8 Preview and Release Date

Yesterday episode 8 teases that Vier becomes the new CEO of VPG Group months after what happened, yet Kelvin decides not to bother him anymore. The episode premieres on March 22, and fans can watch it on WeTV at 9 PM (GMT+8). However, those who avail of WeTV’s fast track can skip the wait and watch episode 8 immediately instead of waiting until next Monday.
