The Success of Pheem in The Wicked Game Episode 8
The Wicked Game episode 8 begins with how successful Pheem is after he followed his father’s wish—to kill Than. He received many recognitions from different media, investors, and even brands. Pheem becomes the representative of the new generation. At the peak of his success, he initiated a project called Mind Behind Bars, where it provides mental health help for the suspects in prison.
Elsewhere, Danai showed Thanet the growing sales of Thanavej Hospital because of Pheem’s effort. But Risa said that Pheem was becoming a celebrity, which doesn’t align with the serious image of the hospital. But Thanet cut her off, saying she doesn’t know anything. This is exactly what Thanavej needs—a new branding.
However, after all the success that Pheem achieved, something’s missing—as if a piece of him got lost along the way. In his television interview, Mrs. Nit and Than’s friend got to watch him. In an unexpected scene, Than appeared (though I know he can’t be dead).
In a flashback, Pheem was shown asking help from Mrs. Nit. He had a medicine that would stop Than’s heartbeat for seconds. When he shot Than and Danai found Than dead as he had no pulse, it was just a bluff. After Pheem and Danai left the scene, Mrs. Nit and Than’s friend immediately revived him.

Chet’s Rage Over His Mother’s Death
To lose a mother is really heartbreaking. Although I never sided with Chet, his rage was justifiable. He only had his mother, yet she was taken away from him. Chet blamed Pheem for the death of his mother after seeing the autopsy. It also turned out that Pheem was the last visitor of his late mom.
Chet went to see Pheem with the intention to kill him. He pointed a gun at him, but Pheem denied his accusations. Thanet and Danai arrived at the scene. Thanet asked Chet to stop his craziness. He said that Chet’s behavior only embarrasses him (at this point, the dickhead here is Thanet, really).
Chet insisted that Pheem killed his mother. But Pheem said that he did nothing. He added that if Chet wants, he will help investigate his mother’s death. Thanet said that he will send Chet to Da Nang again. The scene switched to Danai locking up Chet with Phakpoom, waiting for their flight.
Successful but Lonely—Pheem’s Consequences
After Chet confronted Pheem about his mother’s death, Pheem went to Mrs. Nit to ask for her help. Initially, Mrs. Nit refused to help him and told him to stop contacting her. But Pheem said this will be the last. Pheem told her about Chet’s mother and gave her the documents that might help. Before he left, he asked about Than, but Mrs. Nit told him that Than hates him the most.
In the other scene, Than was seen talking to his friend about Pheem. He said that he will be forgetting Pheem—he needs to. While Pheem, on the other hand, was sitting in a bar—crying. He remembers the sweet and happy time he had with Than. These memories are the only piece of Than that he can hold onto.
This is the result of his actions, of the choices he made. He must endure the aftermath of it all—even if it means losing the people he loved and cherished the most.

The Real Culprit
It was Risa—the person behind Khwanruethai’s death. Mrs. Nit was able to unfold the truth behind the death of Chet’s mother. Pheem was quick to pick up that it was Risa who killed Khwanruethai. After that, Pheem went to Risa to confront her—saying that he knows she was the one who killed Chet’s mother. This is where Pheem and Risa’s conflict started. Risa seems to be the cunning step-sister that will bring everyone’s downfall.
Elsewhere, Phakpoom was seen trying to shoot Pheem. But Pan interrupted, saying that he’ll be putting his life in danger. Pan brought a letter telling Phakpoom to give it to Chet. Risa was waiting for Chet and Phakpoom’s arrival. This is where Risa plans to work with Chet to bring Pheem down.
Risa was manipulating everyone—playing them like pawns in her chess game. She was able to convince Chet to kill Pheem, like she knew exactly that by using Khwanruethai’s death, Chet would easily fold. In a brief flashback, it was shown that it was really Risa who killed Chet’s mother.
Than Saved Pheem’s Life in The Wicked Game Episode 8
During an event, the lights suddenly went out. The people panicked, and a bodyguard led Pheem to a car. However, Pheem noticed that they were getting out of the way to the hospital. He easily sensed that something’s wrong, so he tried to choke the bodyguard. He was able to escape, but the man had him again.
When Pheem was running for his life, Chet and Phakpoom appeared. This is where Pheem lost his consciousness. When he woke up, he found himself tied, and Chet was so ready to kill him. Pheem, with all the emptiness inside him, urged Chet to just end everything for him.
Chet was about to pull the trigger when Than appeared and shot at Chet and Phakpoom. Than was able to remove Pheem’s ties. The two ran away together and stayed at a hotel. But despite Than saving Pheem, he firmly told him that it will be the last time. He will no longer care if Pheem died in front of him.
It was the quiet letting go. The reality of betraying the one you love. The consequence of choosing power. The cost of letting revenge take over you was featured in The Wicked Game episode 8.

This Isn’t Family at All
Elsewhere, Chet was waiting for Phakpoom. But instead, he was greeted by Danai and other men of his father. He tried to fight back, but he ended up captured by them. Chet was brought to his father’s house. This is where he found Phakpoom getting beaten by his father.
Meanwhile, Risa and Pan were just watching from behind the door of their room. Thanet asked Chet where Pheem is. He said that he already killed Pheem, which enraged Thanet even more. However, Pheem appeared, telling his father to stop. He begged him that for once, they should talk like a family—without yelling and hitting.
The Wicked Game episode 8 closes with Chet and Pheem chasing each other. While trying to fight over a gun, Chet suddenly pulled the trigger, directed at their father.
