The truth about the parallel world is finally revealed during episode 9 of The Boy Next World, intensifying the relationship of Cirrus and Phukan.
The Boy Next World episode 9 was indeed a roller coaster of emotions for both Cirrus and Phukan as the fragments of truth about the parallel world are starting to unfold.
For starters, episode 9 began with the present Cirrus coming back to his body and Phukan finally letting him know how much he meant to him. Cir and Phu had a heartwarming confession for each other, both expressing their love.
Phukan told Cir how he met the other Cirrus and how he’s entirely different from him. Meanwhile, Cir shared his experience with Phu when he lost consciousness after the car incident.

The blossoming love between Cirrus and Phukan
After the car accident, Cir became extra careful and gentle with Phu. Cir would follow him around, carry things for him, and even get him food. Through Cir’s actions, he truly showed how he loved Phu with all his heart.
However, Phukan found Cir’s actions strange. He approached his friends and told them how Cir had treated him over the past few weeks. But instead of agreeing with him, Phu’s friends only called him boastful for showing off his boyfriend.
Cirrus and Phukan’s relationship has been a turbulent journey, yet it has strengthened their bond and love for each other.
Jin revealed his hearing ability to Wim
Jin and Wim witnessed the reconciliation between Cir and Phu. However, Jin’s confession that he can hear Wim’s thoughts suggests that their relationship may be at its lowest point. He stated that his hearing was the reason he knew Cir didn’t originate from a parallel world.
However, Wim didn’t believe him and asked him to prove it to him. But Jin said that when he realized that he liked Wim, he could no longer hear his thoughts. Thus, Wim believed that Jin was just playing with his feelings.

Phukan’s encounter with Cirrus’ fiancé
Lukprae deceived Achi, Phu’s friend, into helping her meet Phukan. When Achi brought Phukan to see Lukprae, she promptly insulted him. Lukprae began blabbing about how she is Cir’s future bride if Phu was not around.
Fortunately, Cirrus responded instantly when Jin contacted him. Cirrus made it apparent to Lukprae that he did not love her and never would. Cir stood up for Phukan and declared his love for him.
The truth behind the parallel world
As the episode gets happier and lovelier, Phukan finally learns the truth about the parallel world. When Phu entered Cir’s room to deliver Zone’s gift, he saw his yearbook from high school. He was confused as to why Cir had the same yearbook as him.
That’s when he saw some of his pictures from high school. Phu remembered Lukprae’s words about him making Cir stalk him and moving into the same condo as him. Confusion grew bigger in Phu’s face as he knew that he and Cir had just met.
Cir and Wim enter Cirrus’ room, where Wim is persuading Cirrus to reveal the truth about the parallel world. Cir immediately noticed that the yearbook was misplaced. He then asked Wim whether he had entered the room, but instead of hearing Wim’s answer, he saw Phu standing behind them.
