That Summer Episode 1 Recap: Meet Winny as Lava and Satang as Prince Davin
Davin, the crown prince of Aranta who secretly likes men, feels unready to take the throne. Longing for freedom, he escapes to Thailand with the help of his friend Victor.
Meanwhile, Lava, a troublesome guy from Bangkok, lands himself in jail after getting into a bar fight while protecting a girl. His mother bails him out but, fed up with his reckless behavior, sends him to stay with his uncle on an island for three months.

Lava and the Prince with No Memory
Seven days later, Lava’s uncle Peng, the island’s chief, forced him into hard labor—fishing, laundry, and a life completely different from the one he knew in Bangkok.
One day, Tum took Lava to the shore for a break. While wandering off alone, Lava discovered an unconscious man washed up on the beach—Prince Davin. Without hesitation, he performed CPR, saving his life.
They rushed Davin to the hospital. With no ID and a serious head injury, he eventually regained consciousness. Dr. Wut diagnosed that Davin had suffered head trauma from a physical assault, resulting in partial memory loss—dissociative amnesia. He couldn’t remember who he was or where he came from.

To keep him safe until his family is located, Chief Peng brings Davin to their home and assigns Lava to take responsibility for him. The two end up sharing a room.
Lava names the amnesiac prince Wave, saying, “because the wave brought you to me.” That night, when Wave can’t sleep on the floor, he climbs onto the bed, forcing Lava to take the floor instead. Annoyed, Lava remarks,
