MARS is Five

Thame joined forces with Po to reunite the once-scattered MARS. Determined to fix their misunderstandings, they worked hard to rebuild their music. At first, their efforts seemed successful, but the group eventually fell apart again.

This time, however, MARS refused to give up. They brought Thame back, and with Po by their side, they reunited. During what was meant to be their final concert, MARS, Po, and Mick took charge. They performed their unreleased single, “Fly High”—a powerful statement that proved no one could tear them apart. Their performance made everyone, especially Pemika, realize that MARS was stronger together.

In episode 13, Oner Entertainment fired MARS and admitted to trying to break up the group. Since they didn’t want to be separated, the company just fired them and let them do what they wanted. MARS stood strong and launched their own label, SYNC, where they created new music, continued promoting it together, and performed as MARS.

Idols’ Dating and Fans’ Perspective

When Pepper and Gam’s relationship went public, fans reacted harshly, which led to their breakup. The same thing happened with Thame and Po—they chose to part ways to avoid holding each other back from their dreams. This reflects the harsh reality in the idol industry: dating is often seen as a betrayal, forcing many relationships to end in heartbreak and sacrifice.

As Thame once said, dating someone doesn’t mean idols love their fans any less. In fact, they dedicate everything to their fans—even if it means giving up their own happiness.

The series concluded with Fern wondering if MARS had felt pressured to hide their true selves just to please fans. Looking back at Pepper’s press conference, she remembered his forced smile and the pain hidden in his eyes ever since.

At that moment, Fern realized that being a true fan means supporting idols as they follow their hearts, live for themselves, and find their own happiness. In the end, Pepper and Gam get back together.

Thame and Po Get Back Together

Backstage, Thame was confused about what had just happened at the concert when Po suddenly appeared. Thame stared at him, asking if it was really Po, clearly missing him. Po wanted Thame to understand that he and the members didn’t want everything Thame had done for the group to be in vain. He gently guided Thame toward the exit, encouraging him to see the rest of the members.

After Po let go of Thame’s hand in the previous episodes, Thame didn’t hesitate. In the final episode, he ran after Po, hugged him tightly after the concert, and said, “Don’t go anywhere again.” Grasping Po’s hand once more, Thame begged him to stay by his side, no matter what the future holds.

The story of ThamePo shows how love can be gentle and full of green flags. Thame proved his dedication by always making time for Po, even with his busy schedule. Meanwhile, Po stood by Thame’s side, supporting his dreams and even sacrificing his own happiness to help Thame succeed.

Soon after, Po introduced Thame as his boyfriend to his friends, specifically to Fern, who couldn’t believe it and kept fainting in disbelief.
