The Hide-and-Seek in Memoir of Rati Episode 10

After Thee’s grandmother uncovers the truth behind his close relationship with Rati, she becomes even stricter. In episode 10’s opening scene, Thee is seen walking while being secretly followed. It turns out his grandmother ordered someone to monitor his every move.

When Thee managed to slip away, he immediately went to see Rati. The scene then shifted to Thee and Lady Pa, who were supposed to have dinner together. Two servants trailed them, but Lady Pa cleverly dismissed them.

In a shocking twist, Thee and Lady Pa weren’t there for dinner—they were there to meet their beloveds: Thee with Rati, and Lady Pa with Froilan (Rati’s friend from France). Honestly, I didn’t see the Lady Pa–Froilan connection coming, which made the scene even more surprising.

Later, Thee and Rati shared a tender moment watching the stars, making silent wishes and hoping the universe would hear them.

Dech’s Grandfather Helps Mek

Although Dech’s father is arrogant and constantly looks down on servants, his grandfather is the complete opposite—kind, generous, and compassionate. He welcomed Mek into his home with warmth.

Despite being a commoner with hearing struggles, Mek never felt belittled by Dech’s grandfather. Instead, the elder offered to help Mek get treatment. Apparently, Dech had been telling stories about Mek’s good character, which made his grandfather see how much of a positive influence Mek was.

Just as things seemed hopeful, Lord Ruj stormed in, enraged at the sight of Mek. But Dech’s grandfather firmly declared that both Mek and Dech would take the translator’s exam, and that Mek would stay in their home for convenience while studying.

Mek’s Life Was in Danger

Mek’s trials didn’t end there. Lord Ruj, driven by selfishness and disdain for servants, hired men to kill him. The ambush took place in an isolated area, but thankfully Thee and Rati were nearby.

Thee managed to save Mek, but not before Mek suffered a severe wound. Thee also caught sight of Lord Ruj fleeing the scene.

At the hospital, Thee revealed to Rati that Lord Ruj was behind the attack. Furious, Rati went straight to Prince Mai to expose Lord Ruj’s crimes—not just for Mek’s sake, but for every servant who had suffered under his cruelty.

Though Lord Ruj denied the accusations, Prince Mai ordered an investigation. Soon after, police arrived at Lord Ruj’s house, forcing him to flee and live as a fugitive. Truly, life’s wheel of fate had turned against him.

Thee’s Grandmother Surprises Thee and Rati at Rati’s House

The sweet moments between Thee and Rati came to a bitter end when Thee’s grandmother appeared at Rati’s house. She tore apart a photo of Thee and Rati in front of them and even snatched away the necklace Rati had given Thee, throwing it to the ground.

She then demanded that Thee proceed with the royal matrimonial water ceremony with Lady Pa. Despite Thee’s pleas and his confession of love for Rati, his grandmother stood firm, declaring she’d rather die than see their family name tainted.

The confrontation escalated into a heated argument, ending with Thee being slapped. Meanwhile, Rati anxiously asked Jam and Kui what would happen if someone refused the matrimonial water ceremony. They explained that refusal was considered a crime—something that made Rati fear for Thee’s safety.

Before the episode ended, Thee appeared in Rati’s room with Jam, Kui, and Mhay, asking Rati to run away with him.
