Did Rati Return to Siam in the Memoir of Rati Final Episode?
The final episode begins in France, five years after Rati left Siam. Rati is shown opening a letter from his mother, Buaphan. Inside the letter, however, was the ring he once gave Thee. This discovery led to a confrontation with his adoptive father.
It turns out that his father had hidden all of Thee’s letters over the years. Rati, deeply upset, questioned his father’s choices—going so far as to ask if he could set aside his duty and simply be a father who understands his son’s feelings.
Rati pointed out how much he admired his father’s love for his mother, Rung, a Siamese woman. Despite being of different nationalities, they fought for their love. After this confrontation, his adoptive father left, handing him all the letters Thee had written.
Soon after, Rati was shown returning to Siam, with Prince Mai meeting him at the port. Shortly after, he finally saw Thee during a meeting with Siamese officials.

Did Thee and Rati Get Back Together?
Rati initially saw Thee being indifferent toward him. He even witnessed Thee carrying Lady Pa’s child, leading him to assume it was theirs. However, during a confrontation, Thee clarified that he never married Lady Pa and that the child wasn’t his.
Thee asked Rati why he never replied to his letters despite writing to him constantly. Rati explained that his father had hidden them but stressed that the past was the past. The two had a heartfelt but difficult conversation about their history.
They confronted the “what ifs” and the “what nows.” Thee revealed that he went to war to escape the consequences of refusing to marry Lady Pa. Meanwhile, Lady Pa herself ran away on their wedding night to become a nun.
This rebellion, from both Thee and Lady Pa, was a brave testament that love cannot be forced.

Did Mek and Dech Succeed in Becoming Translators?
In earlier episodes, Mek’s dedication to becoming a translator was always clear. He dreamed of improving his life through this path. In the final episode, Mek finally achieved his dream—alongside Dech.
He didn’t just become a translator; he became a translator in the ministry. For someone like Mek, a servant, this was more than a fulfilled dream; it was proof of his perseverance and determination.
As for romance, Mek and Dech’s relationship also progressed. Though it wasn’t explicitly confirmed whether they were together, the way they held and spoke to each other spoke volumes. And let’s be honest—no “just friends” kiss that often.
Memoir of Rati Ending Explained
The final episode wasn’t short of a happy ending, given how the stories of Rati and Thee, as well as Dech and Mek, concluded. Lady Pa’s path and Buaphan’s story also tied into the resolution.
This series isn’t just a historical drama—it reflects an era where love outside convention was condemned. It shows how social status affects human worth and how power and greed lead to downfall.
One commendable element of the series is its portrayal of hierarchy. Even though Thee held a high position, he was powerless when his grandmother intervened. The same went for his father, who always yielded to his mother.
Memoir of Rati sides with the oppressed, condemns those in power, and portrays the struggle of a love that society refused to embrace.
