Melody of Secrets episode 9 introduces the truth behind Botpleng and Tontharn—and how it ultimately led to Thunphob’s death.
Melody of Secrets episode 9 aired on February 6 via the GMMTV YouTube Channel. This episode narrates the past of Botpleng and Tontharn. Tharn’s mother was abusive, so Pleng tried to help him, but his attempt led to his own death. Eventually, Pleng’s death also caused Thunphob’s death.

The Real Botpleng in Melody of Secrets Episode 9
Melody of Secrets episode 9 opens by showing the real Botpleng and his past. Pleng tried to learn the violin for his dad, but he could not even remember its melody. Then he met Thunphob, who introduced himself as Tankhun. From that moment on, Pleng felt like he had found his missing melody.
Botpleng and Thunphob built their romance. In one scene, Thunphob stood with Tankhun, while Botpleng stood with Tontharn. All along, their strings were connected.
Back in the present, Tontharn talked to Tankhun about his memories. He said that he wanted to remember everything. However, the moment he remembered, Tankhun vanished. The scene then revealed that everything was just Tontharn’s dream.
In reality, Tontharn was in the hospital with Tankhun. Meanwhile, authorities arrested Inspector Dao for the crimes she committed.
Tontharn insisted that he was not Botpleng. However, Tankhun assured him that he is Botpleng to him—the one he loves dearly. Later, the two went to the rooftop and talked about how they grew up living completely different lives.
Tontharn’s Past and His Family
Elsewhere in Melody of Secrets episode 9, the story shifts to Tontharn’s past. Botpleng’s mother noticed that Tharn had many bruises on his body. Tharn’s father admitted that Tharn’s mother caused them.
Botpleng’s mom asked if she could take Tharn in, since he looked so much like Botpleng. Later, the episode shows Tharn’s mother hitting him with a stick.
In the past, Tharn’s mother killed someone, and his father took the blame. After that incident, his mother continued to abuse him. Fortunately, Botpleng always tried to protect and help him.
One day, Pleng went to Tharn’s house to film how his mother abused him. However, Tharn’s mother hit Pleng on the head. A fire broke out in the house, and Tharn rushed to save Pleng.
Pleng died in the fire while trying to help Tharn. After that tragic event, Tharn took Pleng’s place. Through hypnosis, Dao’s father made Tharn believe that he was Pleng.
However, Thunphob discovered the truth and threatened to expose it. To protect Pleng’s mother, Tharn’s father intervened and killed Thunphob. Around the same time, Pleng’s mother got into a car accident that left her in a coma.

A Melody Played for Two in Melody of Secrets Episode 9
Later, Tankhun and Tharn had a heartfelt conversation. Tan said that he never considered his house a home. But when Tharn entered his life, he finally began to see it that way, recalling how Tharn became part of it.
Soon after, Tan and Tharn returned to the place where Tharn first met Pleng. Tharn remembered Pleng’s kindness and goodness toward him. Meanwhile, Tan spoke about Thunphob and expressed his gratitude for him.
Tan said that he believes Botpleng and Thunphob are together now. As Tan and Tharn left, the scene shifted to Pleng and Thunphob happily playing the violin together.
Elsewhere in Melody of Secrets episode 9, Tharn asked Tan to break up with him because he felt uncertain about himself. Tan agreed and began to walk away.
However, after a few minutes, he returned to Tharn and reintroduced himself. He pretended that he did not know Tharn and tried to get to know him from the beginning. The episode ended with Tharn hugging Tan.
Episode 10 Preview and Release Date
The final episode of the series is fast approaching. Episode 10 teases Tan telling Tharn that he found a new life after meeting him. The finale appears to promise a happy ending, as Tharn proposes to Tan.
