Botpleng became a suspect in the case that Tankhun and Dao were handling. Still, Tan spends time with Pleng in Melody of Secrets episode 2.
In Melody of Secrets episode 2, which aired on December 12, 2025 via GMMTV YouTube Channel and VIU, Dao suspects Pleng as the culprit behind the two consecutive deaths that happened in their area. She says it might not be a coincidence that both victims were linked to Pleng’s family. However, Tankhun firmly believes that Pleng has nothing to do with the case.

Botpleng’s Doubts in Melody of Secrets Episode 2
Melody of Secrets episode 2 opens with Tan preparing Pleng’s clothes. Pleng walks near Tan and says that he’s right—Pleng isn’t ready for now. Tan assures him that it’s okay, saying that waiting a little longer wouldn’t hurt since he has already waited for 10 years.
Pleng asks Tan if he can sleep next to him and hold his hands. He believes that doing so might help him remember faster because he doesn’t want Tan to wait too long. Tan agrees to Pleng’s request. While Tan sleeps, Pleng slowly caresses his hands.
Pleng remembers something from the diary—an entry about an intimate night he shared with Tan. The diary mentions that Tankhun had a long scar on his left wrist. However, when Pleng looks at Tan’s wrist, he finds nothing.
This is where Pleng starts to doubt whether the person beside him is the real Tankhun.
Tankhun and Dao Work Together for the Case
Elsewhere, Tankhun goes to the police station to talk to Dao. He asks for details about the case they are handling, but Dao says he is acting strangely and invites him to talk inside the office instead. Tankhun says that if Dao suspects Botpleng because of the two deaths connected to his family, he will help uncover the truth.
Dao asks what he would do if Botpleng were truly involved in the case. Tan replies that he can separate his work from personal matters. He adds that he is confident Pleng is not the culprit.
As a result, Dao welcomes Tankhun as the case’s criminology adviser. She warns him not to raise his hopes too high about Pleng.
Meanwhile, Muenmile warns Pleng about Tankhun. He tells him not to trust Tan, even if Tan claims to be someone from his past.

The Press vs. the Police Officer
Elsewhere, Muenmile and Pleng attend a press meeting involving Dao and the case. Dao says the two murder cases may be part of a serial killing and asks the press to report only necessary information.
In response, Pleng raises his hand and asks if Dao believes the press is obstructing the investigation. Muenmile adds that her statement sounds like she is blaming the media. Dao explains that it is not about blaming the press but taking precautions to avoid further harm.
Their criminologist adviser, Tankhun, agrees with this strategy, surprising Pleng. Tankhun introduces himself as the adviser, followed by a flashback.
In the flashback, Tankhun discusses the condition of the two bodies found. Dao adds that both victims were connected to the Thayadon family—Pleng’s surname. Tankhun says they need to identify the killer’s motive first and control media involvement.
Pleng later follows Dao and confronts her. Their conversation grows heated as Pleng asks if she already knows who the killer is. Dao pins him down and accuses him of being responsible for the deaths. When Tan arrives, Dao remarks that some people really do get in the way. Tankhun then pulls Pleng away from her.
People Around Pleng in Melody of Secrets Episode 2
After Tan scolds him, Pleng asks Tan to come with him somewhere. They go to a forest near a river and talk about how things have changed over the past 10 years. While Pleng sips his tea, an ant crawls onto his leg, causing him to spill tea on his clothes.
Elsewhere, Pleng’s grandmother asks why he has been staying at their vacation house. Pleng suggests that she may already know that the people watching the house are now dead. He urges her to take the family away, but she responds that it is not his concern.
Pleng later goes to his office and talks to Muenmile. During their conversation, Pleng mentions that scars can disappear, referring to Tankhun. Muenmile responds that he will prove that Tankhun is not the real one.

Someone Attacks Pleng
Another scene shows Tankhun and Pleng spending time in the forest. Pleng feels hungry, so Tan goes to his car to get sandwiches. There, Tan notices a motorcycle near his car with a string attached to it. He recalls that the killer used the same type of string to murder the victims.
Tan rushes back and finds a masked person strangling Pleng. The attacker warns Pleng to leave before Tan reaches them. Tan tries to fight the attacker but ends up being strangled as well. Seeing Pleng struggle to breathe, Tan fights back. The attacker flees, and Tan helps Pleng recover.
Elsewhere, Muenmile interviews Jen, the woman behind the Jennaree podcast and Gen Z’s favorite psychiatrist. When Jen begins talking about her beginnings, Muenmile interrupts and asks for details she has never shared before. He probes especially about her family, but Jen sees through his intentions and asks what he is really after. Muenmile does not answer.
Tankhun later asks Dao if she found the motorcycle used in the attack. Dao explains that motorcycles without plate numbers are common in the countryside, making it difficult to track. She adds that Pleng can handle himself even without protection, showing Tan the marks left on her wrist from when Pleng grabbed her before. She suggests Tan may be worrying too much.
Tan disagrees, saying Pleng was unable to defend himself during the attack. Dao responds that maybe it was because Tan was there in Melody of Secrets episode 2.
Melody of Secrets episode 2 ends with Tan visiting Pleng to make up with him. Tan brings cassava and offers him water. Pleng comments that their memories don’t taste good, referring to the cassava. Tan replies that they will just create new ones. The episode closes with Tan and Pleng kissing.
Episode 3 Preview and Release Date
Episode 3 teases Tan asking Pleng if he is his secret. Pleng replies that he wants Tan to be his truth—something no one can take away. Dao and Tan continue working on the case, with Dao revealing that both victims worked for Pleng’s family. Tan tells Pleng that he took on the case so Pleng would not suffer alone.
The preview also hints that the Tankhun Pleng remembers may not be the real one, explaining why Pleng cannot remember him. It also shows Pleng admitting his feelings for Tankhun.
