Me and Thee Episode 5 Recap: Peach cried on Thee

Episode 5 begins with a flashback of young Peach and Lookplub running from their abusive father. Bleeding, Peach tells his sister he will protect her, while Lookplub says no one can protect him. They hug in the rain until Peach wakes up in a hospital bed, where Thee is visibly worried. Seeing Thee care so much, Peach cries.

Seeing Peach cry, Thee asks, “Is someone like me, who’s willing to protect you with my life, making you cry?” which touches Peach. Still concerned he’s hurting Peach, Thee adds, “If someone had to make you cry, can I be the last person on earth to do that?” making Peach smile.

Later, Thee asks why Peach didn’t call last night, and Peach says he didn’t think it was necessary. Thee explains he saved his own number in Peach’s phone, giving Peach permission to call him about anything anytime, as often as he likes. Peach says, “You’re making me feel like a little kid,” and Thee replies that it would be nice if Peach were still a kid so he could carry him in his pocket and keep him safe.

“You’re mine. No one has the right to mess with the one I call mine,” Thee says, making Peach cry even harder. Soon after, Peach explains he didn’t cry because Thee did anything wrong. He shares that he and Lookplub have only had each other growing up:

I had to grow up quickly to become a father, a mother, and a brother to Plub. It’s like I’m forced to never show weakness. With you earlier, I felt like a kid again. I just realized how good being taken care of by someone feels.

Meanwhile, Mok becomes Rome’s temporary bodyguard while Rome is still in Thailand, celebrating his birthday mainly to spend time with Mok and flirt with him constantly.

Peach teaches Thee basic photography

Thee accompanies Peach home. Later, he brings an ice pack for Peach’s swollen eyes from crying. While doing so, Thee asks if it’s true that Peach has no partner or if someone has made his heart flutter. Peach says no, explaining he has no time for feelings and spends all his time with Thee, making Thee blush.

Later, Thee tries playing Peach’s handpan but struggles, saying, “I want to get to know what you like.” Peach takes him to the park and teaches him basic photography. Still discouraged about not fully understanding Peach’s interests, Thee is comforted when Peach reminds him that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Peach adds that managing a company like Thee’s is incredibly difficult and that what he’s doing is amazing. Thee admits no one has ever told him that: “Once I manage to do something, I have to do better. No matter how much I do, it’s never enough.” Peach reassures him, “What you’re doing is more than any one person can handle,” encouraging him to relax and loosen up sometimes.

Peach thanks Thee for saving him from Wiwid

Thee, unwilling to leave Peach alone, asks his bodyguards to bring them food, but Peach tells him to rest since he hasn’t slept while taking care of him overnight. Thee urges, “Can you stop being used to being on your own and just let me into your world?” impressing Peach and letting him in.

While eating, Peach asks what Thee did to Wiwid. Seeing that Thee is still angry about Wiwid, Peach hesitates to ask how Wiwid is now, but Thee says that no matter how displeased Peach’s questions make him, he’d never hurt him and that Peach is his exception in everything. He gets upset that Peach still cares about Wiwid after what happened but confirms that Wiwid is still alive somewhere.

Later, Peach expresses how good he felt when Thee saved him from Wiwid, saying, “I knew I was safe with you.” Thee notes that everyone is usually afraid of him, but Peach is the first to think otherwise. Peach thanks him, “Without you, things would’ve been worse for me,” and Thee replies, “But you have me.”

Peach’s vacation

When Peach and Thee go up to Peach’s room, Thee notices Peach’s luggage and flight details and panics, overreacting because he thinks Peach is running away. Peach explains he’s just going on vacation, leaving Thee shy and embarrassed. Thee tells him to stay at his hotel so he can keep an eye on him, later adding, “I won’t let you be in danger again. Even to the farthest edge of the sky, I will chase you down and save you.”

Back home, Thee is greeted by his mother and Rome. They watch one of their mother’s soap operas, and Thee remarks that it reminds him of her, making him feel close to her. Later, Rome questions why their parents could marry and be in love while they can’t, looking longingly at Mok. Their mother says it’s a rule they must accept, while Mok explains how they’ve always tried to break it.

Meanwhile, Peach arrives on vacation, and he and Thee update each other with texts and photos. Seeing Thee smile at his phone, Rome cancels his birthday dinner, saying he wants to spend time alone with Mok and letting Thee go wherever he wants. Rome then asks, “It’d be great if you could give me your secretary as my birthday present,” which Thee immediately declines, upsetting Rome.

Later, Thee attends a meeting with Nuch and the team for the Winter collection, including the newly hired photographer. He criticizes the concept and implies it would be much better if Peach did it, sending shivers through everyone, especially the new photographer.

Thee and Peach’s first kiss in Me and Thee episode 5

Peach enjoys his vacation while Thee’s people, the hotel staff, make sure he’s resting well. Later, Peach paddles alone in the ocean and posts a photo online. At the same time, Thee arrives; worried and impatient, he swims from the shore to Peach, and they end up riding the boat together.

Peach admires the sea, noting how beautiful and peaceful it is, and Thee comments on how it’s reflected in Peach’s eyes. Later, Thee says that beyond saying “Thank you” and “Sorry,” Peach has taught him about getting permission. He asks, “If I kissed you right now, would that be taking liberties with you?” remembering how Peach scolded him for kissing his hand.

Peach says it’s fine if he gets consent from the other person, so Thee asks, and they end up sharing their first kiss in the middle of the ocean.
