Dare You To Death Episode 8 Recap: Cherreen and Champ visit Jay

Champ and Cherreen secretly visit Jay and show him Cherreen’s Truth Card. It reveals her affair with her best friend’s boyfriend and how she told Champ about Puifai’s pregnancy despite Puifai begging her to stay quiet. The culprit mocks Cherreen, saying, “You’re the quiet type of slut, dying for what belongs to your friend, yet playing the innocent victim,” and claims Puifai’s abortion was part of her plan.

After that, Champ confronts Jay and asks if he’s the one who sent the Truth-or-Dare Cards to them. He also questions why Jay remained unharmed when Tonkla was killed, pointing out that Jay was always with Cherreen, which makes him suspicious. In response, Jay fires back and accuses Champ of being more suspicious because of his past actions toward their friends.

Before the argument turns intense, Cherreen steps in. She insists that none of the three is the culprit and urges them to stop accusing each other and focus on surviving instead.

Kamin orders Jade to take time off, angering him

Kamin opens up to Jade about his past while investigating Seon Jae’s drug route. A subordinate died during that case, and Kamin has blamed himself ever since. Because of that, he fears losing Jade too and asks him to step away from the investigation, admitting that he trusts him—but can’t trust himself and can’t fully focus on the case if Jade is there.

However, Jade refuses to back down. He reminds Kamin of his duty as a cop and says, “I’m not the kind of cop who just sits back and lets criminals toy with us.” Kamin then uses his authority to order Jade to take time off, which only makes Jade angrier. He insists he won’t leave Kamin to face the case alone.

Later, Kamin explains that he pushed Jade away from the case because he was worried about him. Jade pushes back, saying Kamin isn’t the only one allowed to worry. Without another word, Jade takes Kamin to a boxing gym. There, he reassures him, saying he’s not like Kamin’s former subordinate and that the past loss was not Kamin’s fault.

Meanwhile, they receive an updated report on Seon Jae’s drug buyers. One name was found—Champ—who transferred money to Seon Jae multiple times in the same amount.

Jade and Kamin Face Seon Jae

Cherreen questions Champ about leaving for another province and asks if he has received any Dare cards. She even asks if he would kill her if a card told him to. When Champ doubts her trust, Cherreen explains, “I trust you. I just need reassurance.” Champ promises to protect her and tells her not to worry.

Meanwhile, Jade chases Seon Jae, who plans to flee the country. Seon Jae tries to stab him, but Jade’s police badge—carrying Kamin’s handwritten talisman—blocks the knife. Moments later, Kamin arrives and shoots Seon Jae in the leg to stop him from running away. When Seon Jae attempts to fire back, Jade shoots him first.

Afterward, Kamin says he will take the blame, but Jade insists on telling the truth. “I did it to protect you. Whatever the outcome, I’m ready to accept it. It’s better than losing you,” he says.

Soon, the investigation reveals that Champ did have a drug deal with Seon Jae. However, Champ bought ecstasy, not ketamine—the drug used by the culprit. The trail then leads them to a key location where ketamine buyers met Seon Jae’s people: near Tonkla’s dorm.

Champ drugs Cherreen; Kamin suspended

Dr. Puth, the forensic doctor who examined Puifai’s body, confirms that he found no ketamine. Before leaving, Kamin asks to transfer Puifai’s body to the main hospital with the other victims to help trace the timeline. Dr. Puth agrees and says he will arrange it.

Meanwhile, as Cherreen takes a bath, Champ secretly drugs her beer after reading a dare card. The card tells him to bring her to a location chosen by the culprit. Once she loses consciousness, Champ drives her there. However, he soon starts to lose consciousness as well. Later, the killer stands nearby with a woman, watching the two unconscious victims.

At the same time, Kamin confronts Champ’s father about his suspicions. Soon after, his superior suspends him from duty and orders him to step away from the case. Kamin hands over his gun and badge. He will also face questioning over Seon Jae’s extrajudicial killing.
