Caged Again Plot Summary
The story follows Junior, portrayed by Jay, an adorable penguin who is loved by many people whenever he’s performing at his onset home—the zoo. Junior, with his extreme desire to go to the North Pole, defies his fate of being a penguin and transforms into a human form. He might be successful in changing his appearance, but another struggle knocks on his door as he starts to get trapped in a boarding school, where he meets Sun.
Sun, played by Ben, also went through the same transformation as Junior. Before becoming a full-fledged human, he was once a black panther—a reserved and quiet one. Sun was drawn to Junior’s presence due to his predator instinct. However, his desire seems to become deeper, and his hunger seems to call for something else when Junior’s around.
Junior, being the free spirit, always follows Sun, until he meets Nam, the supposed number 1 swimmer on the swimming team. Junior becomes close with Nam, not knowing his hidden agenda—Sun comes to the rescue, but Junior starts to be furious with how Sun is behaving. Their relationship seems to be a push-and-pull, taking one step towards each other, yet taking three steps back every time they draw near each other.

Another notable conflict that happened in the series was when Junior and Sun tried to help the penguins, including his brother, Little—who was locked up and captured by Som—Junior’s former zookeeper. To escape Som’s greedy desire, Sun and Junior ran through the forest, where they met the lovable couple, Ton and Nat (played by the real-life couple, Porsche and Arm). However, Ton unexpectedly assisted Som and his friend in escaping the forest. Upon arriving at Ton and Nat’s house, Som immediately noticed Junior and Sun’s belongings. The chaos began to arise; luckily, Sun and Junior’s friends—Jodd, Jeng, and Mina—arrived at the right time, helping them escape.
