A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is officially coming back for Season 2, with teen detective Pip returning for another gripping mystery—and filming has already wrapped on the new chapter. In a behind-the-scenes video from the set, lead actress Emma Myers joins her co-stars and author Holly Jackson to celebrate the end of production.
“I’m feeling very nostalgic,” Myers shares. “This season has been really special to me, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” To add, Jackson also teases that the upcoming season will be “bigger and badder” than before.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 Confirmation
Netflix officially announced on November 20, 2024, that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder had been renewed for a second season, with author Holly Jackson joining the writing team. Furthermore, Jackson, who created the original YA book series, expressed her excitement about continuing Pip’s story. In addition, she also expressed her joy in contributing directly to the show’s script.
She shared that she was “beyond thrilled” to write for the series alongside Season 1 screenwriter Poppy Cogan. To add, she thanked fans for their unwavering support, adding that she couldn’t wait to reunite with her AGGGTM family.
The Possible Plot of the Upcoming Season
Season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will pick up right where the first left off, following Pip as she deals with the aftermath of solving the Andie Bell case. Her once-stable world has been upended by the consequences of her investigation. Moreover, it will leave her questioning whether she ever wants to play detective again. But just as she tries to return to normal life, another mystery pulls her back in.
Additionally. this time, surrounding the sudden disappearance of Jamie Reynolds, a key witness in the upcoming trial of Max Hastings. As Pip races against time to uncover the truth, she finds herself navigating darker moral territory and confronting what justice really means. Moreso, the new season promises to take her further from the “good girl” image she once had.
Furthermore, this will challenge her sense of right and wrong while forcing her to reckon with the emotional toll of her choices. Netflix teased that this next chapter will push Pip into unexpected places, both in her investigation and within herself.

The main cast of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder sees the return of Wednesday star Emma Myers as Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi and Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, reprising their roles for Season 2. Joining them once again are Asha Banks as Cara Ward, Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson, and Henry Ashton as Max Hastings.
In addition, new faces in the upcoming season include Misia Butler as Stanley Forbes, a mysterious figure lingering on the edges of the investigation. Eden H. Davies as Jamie Reynolds, Connor’s quiet brother and a well-known local musician whose sudden disappearance drives the plot. Jack Rowan as Charlie Green, Pip’s new neighbor who becomes entangled in the unfolding mystery in Little Kilton.

The release date for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 is still, well, a mystery. What’s certain, though, is that Netflix will stream the series globally—except in select regions such as the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. It will premiere on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. The upcoming season will consist of six 45-minute episodes.
